hannibal smith
Game of the day in the Championship is a sell out at Tynecastle which is a fantastic achievement.
scot scotland scottish
Hearts fans banging on about how many tickets they've sold is getting towards Aberdeen style levels and is very boring. However it does raise an interesting point. Variety they say is the spice of the life, and would it be fair to say that playing different teams and visiting other stadiums (and pubs!) has re-invigorated the Hearts support. Presumably cheaper entry to matches too? That being the case - Scottish football more than ever needs to look at this and see how it can be replicated across the board (personally I favour an 18 team league with some radical points scoring system) Anyway I've went a bit off topic there so feel free to return to sticking your pigeon chest out and tell us how many tickets you've sold :-) Edited August 30, 2014 by scot scotland scottish

Pool Q
Enjoyed the short trip to Kirkcaldy last Saturday. Of the 9 of us who travelled over, a quick straw poll suggested less than half would have gone to a comparable away game in the SPFL. Today's game might be a tough one I think, looking forward to it. ShedTA
Agree with this. Shows what any sort of variety in the club/s winning the spfl might do for crowds across the league. The lack of competition for the title is the biggest single factor ruining our game.

Getting relegated was awful at the time, but the season in the then first division was great. New grounds, new pubs and the only DU title challenge in my football attending days. There's probably an element of all of this with Hearts. Just don't harp on about it. That's Aberdeen's job

But still agree with the sentiment, the excitement associated with something different is what the game needs.
