EIFA10
Very early days of planning, but looking at Frankfurt as a possible stagger destination, around April/May next year. Anyone been to a stagger there before and have any recommendations? It's just a possible option, so you can be as harsh as to say don't go there! fanatyk
I go there tomorrow, not for stagger though but should be fun anyway Come back with the feedback while sober
1ANDYP
Out of interest how many poles are expected in the stadium.
yourname
I don't know what it is like for a night out, but I was there 2 months ago after having toured Europe for 10 weeks and it was comfortably the worst city I had been in. Maybe I just got unlucky, and that it not what it is normally like but it was expensive, dirty and made me feel a bit unsafe. Munich is better, and apparently Berlin is better still, but I haven't been there since the 2006 world cup so I cant really comment

I was there in May for a conference and I hated it. Easily the dirtiest and worst German city I've been in. Was quite shocked by the amount of folk sleeping rough in the train station and in the shopping area. Much better options like Dusseldorf, Munich, Berlin or Hamburg in my opinion. min
Spent a day and night there after the game in Dortmund last year and wish I hadn't. Cologne and Dusseldorf are both far better for a stag do and only an hour or so on the train from Frankfurt (if you're flying into there). fanatyk
Very nice City, but too posh for stagger imho. Centre look more like Washington, with all those skyscrapers, glass and steel, than any place in Europe. Very clean, good public transport, loads of good food but old town wont throw you on your knees.
wanderer
Frankfurt is a hard city to pin point if I love or hate it..... It's very much a financial city, so city centre is not packed with bars. Saying that, it has a cracking (yet very small) old town district that can be very lively. Would say though that it's far from Stag Doo material when you have at least 5/6 much better options within Germany alone. Mox
what is a stagger?
scoobydoo
Stag night. Frankfurt is ok I guess but as wanderer says there are half a dozen places better in germany. If you dont want koln or dusseldorf try bochum.
slasher
If you do decide to do Frankfurt take a taxi out of the city to Sachsenhausen. A little square mile or so of traditional German pubs and clubs. Usually jumping on a Fri/Sat night ;-)

McFootSoldier
Was over there last year for a stagger and had a great time. Depending on what you want from a stagger good mix of nice bars and RL Area if you want it. Would not say there were streets lined with bars, but plenty of bars to be found. Sachsenhausenis that might be where hooters is ?, it was a quite lively area short walk across the bridge.
Andy North Croy
Go watch FSV Frankfurt if possible....that have a Tartan Army branch.
Shotts56
Lovely stadium in Frankfurt, but as others have said, its more of a financial city. Nice old town square and all that, but I must admit, if I was going to Germany for a stag night I wouldn't see past the Alstaadt area in Dusseldorf. Only been once and loved it, would go back tomorrow, if felt like there were hundreds of pubs all packed right next to each other.
jock strap
I had one of my stag do's in Frankfurt ( 2009 ) and would easily recommend numerous other places in Germany. Nice enough place and lovely people but it is not what I would call 'a stag do' location.
