er yir macaroon
Hibs fans raving about him. If he keeps going and continues to screw the nut, he'll make the breakthrough to the full squad next season. And so will Lewis Macleod. Looking a few years ahead that pairing could be quite a bit better than what we have now. Add a matured Gauld to the mix and I might lose bladder control. alaninalba
He's looked a bit useful on the box but why did he lose his way when he left Dundee Utd?
hannibal smith
Good to see him back on track and he certainly looked decent last Sunday Think he is still a wee bit off breaking though into the squad and becoming a regular though, still only 22 though so plenty of time. Either way, he won't be in the lower leagues next season - like I say, as long as he screws the nut
The Boss
Aside from injuring GMS last night with a completely unnecessary challenge, he played well. To suggest he might get into a Scotland squad any time in the near future is a bit daft though - I could name at least 15/20 players ahead of him in the position he plays. The Boss
I suggested he'd be in the Scotland squad next season. Which is daft. ^^^ List please. They don't have to be in order. Anya, Brown, Bryson, Burke, Snoddy, GMS, Armstrong, Bannan, Maloney, Morrison, Dorrans, Gauld, Forrest, McArthur, Russell, Adam, Boyd, Pawlett, Conway, Phillips, McGregor, McDonald, Arfield. A sample. I'm sure we could all think of more yet who play at a higher level and who have actually done something in recent years.

DoonTheSlope
Scott Allan has been brilliant so far, especially the last month but there's no chance he'll be getting called up anytime soon. It's hard enough for an SPL (outwith Celtic) player to breakthrough, never mind a First Division player. I reckon he'll have a year or 2 at Hibs then he'll go down south then it'll be a real possibility if he keeps up his form If Hibs get promoted he'll see out his contract but if not he'll be off. He's far too good for this league Edited October 30, 2014 by DoonTheSlope
er yir macaroon
I agree, he won't be capped playing in championship or whatever it's called and won't be there next season.

Talent allows queue jumping in football.

Followed through on to his foot/ankle, was clearly trying to leave a mark - akin to almost all spfl footballers who come up against GMS. Allan is a central midfielder, unlike most on your list. Talent allows queue jumping in football. He isn't. Doesn't have the legs for that. Plays further forward. Tbh, I can't even believe Allan is being discussed on this board after a few good games for a championship side. He's a million miles away from being in a Scotland squad. I would say that a least a dozen on that list can play in central midfield, and ALL are well ahead of Scott Allan in the queue.

They are ahead in the queue currently, but queues can be jumped. Ask Callum McGregor.
PASTA Mick
I think Allan has the talent to be a Scotland player but he needs to prove himself at a decent level. He seemed to act like he'd made it in the game without actually doing anything.
