ScotsRik
Travel arrangements for Poland means missing home game v Georgia. Will be spending a night in Berlin on the Saturday.......anybody know of any bars that could be showing the game??
wanderer
Only place I can think of that would show it for sure was a wee football bar under the Zoo Train Station (if a game is being shown live anywhere in the world, it would happily show it for anyone who asks) but it closed down a few years ago Beersaloon am Ku'daam has a reputation for being a good football bar in Berlin, as I have had many great nights in here (best was when Schalke were in town, as had the feel of a TA night before party!). The rubbish'y Paddy Bar in the basement of the Europa Centre is probably your best bet as it has sky sports. All these places are in the Charlottenburg area of the city.... not the best area for a night out, but I can not think of anywhere in Mitte/Alexanderplatz that would be showing it. jim.mccole
Oscar Wildes football schedule not up on web site yet.It is in friedrichstrasse next station away from hackersch market(Kilkenny below this station)heading away from Alexanderplatz. If possible go up earlier in day and get lay of land. From Friedrichstrasse station head over bridge crossing river spree and Oscar Wildes it is about 300 metres on right
wanderer
If you are going to Kilkenny Pub, good place to eat before hand is Brauhaus Mitte just beside the train station on the TV tower side. Might be a little "cafateria" like, but does great beer and fantastic food one of my favorite places to have lunch in Berlin.
