Gtoner Posted November 23, 2014 Share Posted November 23, 2014 Is it just me or was the singing/atmoshpere at the two recent home games very poor?! Most Scottish newspapers picked up on the subdued atmosphere at the Ireland game. It wasn't until we scored that the ground started to become atmospheric. Should it not be from the minute the team enters the pitch, no? Both times we were out-sung by the away fans which is pretty poor considering who the opposition were!! I could identify small pockets of fans singing around me trying to create an atmosphere but was hard for it to catch on as we were all separated. Is it worth The Tartan Army looking into having a section which brings all fans together that are going to sing and create an atmosphere?! If we all sit together and create an atmosphere, it is more likely the entire stadium is going to join in. JUst a thought but I'd like to hear other peoples opinions on it. It's been my first choice for a seat since Hampden got redeveloped but with the pricing now I'm more likely to go for the East Stand. Speak for yourself! There's doom & gloom in my world. Politics and sport, yes overlapping but separate entities - but look at the threads on here post referendum about FoS, to stand to sit, to sing or not etc. Whether we like it or not, Ireland & England were in the position to rip the pan. Talk sport for example had an open goal in the days before the game and took it! I'm still gutted and not ready to move on as seems to be some peoples view, but that's life and politics, not football I suppose! Anyway am off to barras for JAMC! A yes vote and CP would have been absolutely bouncing. Instead it was just about ok. Second half of ROI game was excellent. That is not helping the atmosphere in the stadia. Thanks Mr reagan and co. The away support is always more vocal than the home support. The had core fans mentioned earlier will still travel abroad.
