Since this is empty at the moment. I thought I'd mention the players that will potentially be in action in the European competitions. I.e High quality games that prepare you for Internationals.

Europa: Steven Naismith (Everton), Tony Watt (Standard Liege), Callum McGregor, Craig Gordon, Charlie Mulgrew, Scott Brown, James Forrest and Leigh Griffiths (Celtic)

Have to mention Ryan Gauld who is playing for Sporting Lisbon in the champions league, but it's unlikely he'll get game time this early in his sporting career.

There is also the likes of Liam Henderson and Dylan McGeouch who might feature for Celtic, though it's more likely they'll get loaned out in the next couple days.

Definitely a good thing for Scotland to have our players exposed to a diversity of playing styles and quality

Very sad that we won't have a single player play in the group stages of the Champions League.

When was the last time that happened?

There has definitely been recent(ish) years where neither Celtic or Rangers were in the CL. Though D.Fletcher was probably flying the flag for us at that point

Really poor result for hull. I was hoping mcegroger, Robertson and George Boyd could have got some Europa league experience. Not to be.

I'd actually thought about creating a separate thread a few days ago when Celtic and Standard Liege still had a chance of being in the Champions league and Hull being in the Europa.

Now it just seems too sad. :(
