Scots_Wha_Hae
A random article that Jack retweeted himself on twitter here: http://www.defensacentral.com/la_fabrica/116297-jack-harper-nuevo-van-persie-juega-fabrica/ It's in Spanish, so I've posted the obligatory horrible Google translate translation below. There are some interesting parts, especially the bit that seems to suggest he could jump straight from the Juvenile team to the first team next season! The Real Madrid has in his factory a tremendous amount of talent, some more known for hobby and others less. The white club has always done his quarry one of the places of formation of the best players, and for this reason in DC want to analyze the best players from the youth ranks with options to get to dress someday first team shirt with dorsal 1 to 25. Thorough analysis Alvaro Medrán, Cristian Benavente, Lucas Torró or Javi Muñoz, now comes the turn of Jack Harper. Born in Malaga on February 28, 1996 but with Scottish ancestry, Jack Harper is a goal for Real Madrid Juvenil A. At 18, this young player takes on the quarry Madrid since last year 2009, when it made landfall in the Child A. Since then, it has been climbing the ladder to reach the Juvenil A, which is currently under the command of Luis Miguel Ramis and shines continental level in the Youth League. Before arriving at Real Madrid, Harper began his career in 2003 playing for Los Boliches, team homonymous district of Fuengirola. Belonging to a family of footballers (his older brother plays in Algeciras after passing through the Real Betis B and her little brother plays at Cultural Vázquez de Marbella), Harper is the middle of John and Tracy Harper son, a married couple moved the malacitana locality from Barrhead (Scotland) very shortly before Jack came into the world. In December 2008, John Harper was doing Christmas shopping when he received the best gift: the call of Real Madrid. At that time, clubs such as Almeria and Seville were the footsteps of his son. However, the call of the club was decisive. Without hesitation, John took a train and stood with Jack in Madrid to undergo relevant evidence, which ended with the player saturating six months later at the Bernabeu. "I called to tell me he wanted to give a proof We think and we went quickly towards Madrid. Now Jack can dream of one day playing in the first team this great club. Hopefully get it, "explained at the time the father of the young star. Affectionately known as the 'Braveheart' Valdebebas in his country have come to compare him to Ronaldo Nazario, though probably a more apt comparison would be with a cutting footballer Robin Van Persie. Jack Harper has technique and imagination to give a final pass, but is also capable of thrashing with ease thanks to its ability in the finish with both feet and head. Can play either back to goal and is able to leave details such as assistance with the heel that gave to the Ludogorets in juvenile Champions, reminding himself Guti. And the Scot straddles the '9' and '10', combining the qualities, yet to finish polishing, the largest in both positions. France Euro 2016 on the horizon All these qualities are no secret to Zinedine Zidane, who considers Harper an alter ego of Karim Benzema (relatively speaking) for Real Madrid Castilla in the future. Depending on their performance this season, the Scot could make the jump directly to the first branch next season, with 19 years. Santiago Sanchez, now official coach of Castilla, I saw Harper great potential and options to the first team three years ago: "He's very talented and plenty of time to improve, I really think it will play for Real Madrid in the future, "explained when Harper began to emerge 16 years, back in 2011. Harper has a contract with Real Madrid until 2017, so it still faces long enough in the factory to keep growing and opt not too distant their first opportunities with major and a professional contract future. At the international level, his talent has not gone unnoticed by the national team of Scotland, who dreams of the meringue footballer explode before Euro 2016 to have him. And, although Jack is Spanish by birth, his heart is Scottish: "I'm Scottish and I want to play for my country and make my family proud," said by active and passive Madrid's talent, which begins to knock on the doors of the first two subsidiaries. The Real Madrid will do fine if you bet on it, it has everything to be a brilliant footballer.

I like the part where he's compared to Ronaldo Nazario (fat Ronaldo). That guy was astonishingly good even with glass knees.
er yir macaroon
I've always felt an exploding meringue is just what we need to advance to the latter stages of a tournament.
Scots_Wha_Hae
It seems to be suggesting in the article that in Scotland we compare him with Ronaldo - to be honest I'm not sure I've seen him compared to anyone in the media here... LewisEDI
the comparisons have been ridiculous, let him get on with it and be his own man.

ZoltanBuchan
All this build up of a player yet to make his first team debut is eerily reminiscent of Islam Feruz. And where is he now? Rooney made his debut at 17 and soon became established. I'll start to get excited when he makes a start for Real. Speaking of Feruz, a quick Google revealed that he's on loan to OFI Crete (manager - Gennaro Gattuso!) in the top Greek division. He's only made one appearance so far, but I'm not sure if that's because he's only just gone there or if he's just not getting in the team. ParisInAKilt
Sounds promising. Been a stand out for the youth team in any clips I've seen. He'll need to be almost exceptional to make it at Madrid but even if he doesn't there, hopefully still becomes a very good player at another top team

Gala Tartan Army (Borders)
I'm always wary of expecting big things of a young player who is at a big club. Remember Michael Stewart was at Man Utd.
Jagtag
Every time I have watched Harper (I saw most of the next gen ) he has been outstanding in every aspect of his game and was miles superior to any player on the pitch. Liverpool have a very good youth team with several highly rated kids and at all levels last year did very well. When they played Madrid Harper was outstanding in both games. I have no doubt he will be a big player at the top level even if it isn't with Madrid though I have a feeling he will get a chance with them. Jagtag
Surprised he's only on the bench. Been their most creative player whenever I've seen them. They do look like they're struggling without him.

Jagtag
I don't think you can blame the ref. Up to the linesman to flag it out but didn't. Stupid of the player to then pick the ball up without waiting for the whistle.
