Poyet Sacked.

I often wonder what Sunderland are trying to achieve. What's the long term plan? What style of play are they trying to develop? What is their transfer strategy?

It all seems a bit disjointed and smacks of short term thinking.

I'd actually favour Advocaat coming in, higher profile and has a reputation for taking no sh!t.

Some of the football I've watched this season has been dreadful.

I don't think the director of football set up has worked at all.

Thought he would've been a decent appointment but they've not built on from last season at all and seems as though he's lost the dressing room and the fans support, no way back for Poyet after that.

That club does need a proper shake up. Looking for their fourth manager in under two years is no stability whatsoever.

2 were foreigners and 1 was a F.G.B.

There's nothing any manager could do with some of those players. Seriously, they've got O'Shea and Brown as their central defence.

Laurel and Hardy would be less prone to mistakes.

Motd were ripping into them and saying how they have been the main cause of the result with villa. As one of the pundits said Gus can only do so much but if the players won't follow or disregard the instructions then there is not much he can do

If Sunderland had came in for Walter I'm pretty sure he'd have stayed.

Read Walter Smith auto-biography and he said that Rangers was the only club he would have walked away from the scotland job for.

He must look at the mess now and wondered if it was worth it. :-))

I heard a Sunderland fan saying he fancied BIGsam ( allerdyce) who is doing rather well at Upton Park.

Why would Sam want to swap relative safety with West ham to inherit a relegation doomed team.

:wtf:

Becuase he's out of contract at the end of the season and they're not renewing it

I'm sure he was pretty well paid for it....
