Just said this to a mate back home and he hit the nail on the head. He said it would never happen to a hun in Scotland. He's spot on. All the nonsense in Scotland will never stop until it's hammered down.

10 games? Suppose it depends on what he said and whether he has previous or not.

Suarez got less for biting and John Terry got a lot less for being a racist .

It's always easier to ban the players at the diddy clubs

Having said all that, if the daft big eejit is spouting sectarian pish on the park it'd be better to ban him for a season. That'd put out the right message.

Put his name into the search function on twitter. There are very few tweets condemning him, the knuckledraggers are out in force!

How can people condemn him when they don't know what he did?

Can be inferred that it must have been pretty bad but no one actually knows what he did....

Interesting that The Mirror is reporting it as being for a "sectarian tirade" yet it's sister paper The Daily Record is saying it's for "verbally abusing". Even more so when both articles were clrearly written by the same person but The Record has removed the paragraph about Broadfoot being a "staunch protestant" and McClean a Catholic.

Just about sums up the Scottish media

Embarrassing. Pathetic actually.

A rangers fan from Ayrshire being a bigoted . Who'da thunk it?

Note: Not all Rangers fans from Ayrshire are bigoted bastards. Before some hard of thinking clown starts...

I am surprised that the media continue to surprise me, even after the Referendum last year, but yet again they manage it. Quite a damning comparison.

Pathetic from the Record again.

Here's what the Mirror said:

"Kirk Broadfoot has been handed a staggering 10-game ban for a sectarian tirade against James McClean."

"Broadfoot was born into a Protestant family in Ayrshire and is known to be a staunch supporters of certain cultural traditions relating to his religion"

And here's the Record:

"KIRK Broadfoot has been handed a staggering 10-game ban for launching a verbal tirade against James McClean."

The majority of the comments on the search were lauding him, so surely the same argument applies to them?

that is absolutely staggering. Are the record so far in hock to their rangers masters that they can't be seen to report facts anymore??

Is it "facts" though given that a confidentiality agreement was apparently signed (which in itself is fecking weird).
