thplinth
What, no thread already on this historic day? Well I can't speak for others but I would say no one gives a shit what sex the FM is so probably never thought to start a thread on it. Flure
Kazia Dugdale probably does. "Labour in Scotland MSP Kezia Dugdale launched a 50:50 gender split for Holyrood campaign - and abstained in the vote today to elect Scotland's first female First Minister ‪#‎SNPbad‬"

Working in a predominately female industry and speaking to lots of women today we were all talking about the female aspect. Living in a world predominately ruled and dominated by men I can see why men wouldn't understand or "give a shit" though. Flure
Imagine if we celebrated a new FM because he was a bloke. Sorry but this shite is old. It's not in the slightest old. Imagine that the leaders of the country had for years been female. Now that shite WOULD be old. This is new.

No, shock horror you don't understand the point! A man missing the point of women seeing women in power. Check out milf, rape jokes, bouncing tits videos, curvaceous women being called fat and then come back with your "oh you women, what are you like' shite. G-Man
I really hope you have dual sign in thplinth as this one has turned into an absolute moany arse. Kittymeister
Nicola Sturgeon becoming FM shows not only what Females can achieve if they put their minds to it but also what anyone from a working class background can achieve. She is to be congratulated.
thplinth
Aww whoopy ing doo. I was quite see sad to see the back of a great man but apparently I should be celebrating the election of a woman for being a woman. Load of garbage. Nicola got the job because she was the best candidate. Celebtrate that FFS.
brant grebner
Honestly, all this fuss over some bird getting the job. I'm fine with it as long as she knows her place. If she was black or a lady chinaman or a moslem then it would be interesting.

Missed it :-/ Off you toddle to the football related forums then. Well I can't speak for others but I would say no one gives a shit what sex the FM is so probably never thought to start a thread on it. Well I do - I can understand why a man wouldn't care though. Women are vastly unrepresented in top jobs in society and that is why it is important that we celebrate when they manage to do so against the odds. thplinth
Aha! Fannybaws! Ach you know this all pervasive and general 'women are good and men are bad' shit gets on my teats. My life experience is that you find as many utter prikks in the manworld as find utter kunts in the womanworld. If you want to draw conclusions based on sex here is one - only one female PM to date - Maggie Thatcher. Flora MaDonald
Having been brought up by two women since the age of 2, I'm delighted about this. Didn't do me any harm (although some may argue to the contrary....).
