petrocelli's Achievements

  1. A tory, or tory UKIP coalition are the perfect storm conditions for a SNP 2nd ref option in 2016 manifesto. Any sign of the SNP cooperating with a minority Labour govt does more damage to the prospects of another referendum than any tory govt. It lays open the opportunity to claim, and for some demonstrate, that Westminster can be made to work for Scotland without independence.
  2. That's not true Scunnered. The deal is in relation to the payment only. The POA were conducting a ballot over pay and were offered an interim payment outwith pay with a commitment to address their concerns at a later date, due to public sector pay policy not allowing resolution to their issues at present. The members accepted the offer (84% of those who voted) in a ballot of the membership. This resolved the dispute and means they see no need to continue a ballot for industrial action over pay for the duration of the 2 year pay deal. They are still within their rights to strike for any other reason i that time, should they choose to do so. In fact, they can strike for any reason they like if they so choose, as there are no tie ins that restrict their ability to do so. The deal simply refers to the SPS reserving the right to consider recovering funds from individuals in the unlikely event the union strikeover pay in that timeframe. Hardly surprising given the deal that was struck.
  3. I was also on that march, with some of my colleagues from the POA (backed yes). Couldn't believe the stupidity of some of the union reps from no supporting unions that day, gloating and laughing at referendum outcome, while wandering around the streets demanding action over austerity... would hate to rely on some of them to represent anyone I cared about. Unthinking party sycophants who couldn't give a shit about their own members, let alone anyone else.
  4. Nothing ironic at all that he chose to give his retirement announcement interview to the Financial Times, as all good Marxists of the past have done.
  5. I know plenty of you are out working hard, and have been for a long time in this campaign. So have I, and this is not a gee up or an attempt to push for abit more in the last couple of days. I have been involved in political campaigns and elections since I was a kid, so 40+ years. I am as confident as I have ever been of a win, and I don't meant by 51-49%. I expect us to win by a decent margin and at the very least, by 55-45, probably more. It's not just the numbers in polling we are getting, it is as others have said, who a lot of these yes voters are. People who I have debated with all my life are now not just yes, but as committed to it as I am, and angry too. I also have had a long conversation with someone just this weekend, which is a follow on from a previous one last weekend, and with someone well connected and who I trust completely that has told me the BT internal polling is showing a clear win for yes, and they know they cannot recover the ground. Keep the faith and pile in the work in last 2 days!
  6. PCS members have carried out a questionaire that when extrapolated shows them overwhelmingly supporting Yes. Quite a few of the senior figures in PCS are campaigning very hard for a Yes vote. The POA, although not a big union have formally backed Yes since last October. It has gone by almost unmentioned though.
  7. Trying my best!

  8. you upsetting everyone again !
