wanderer
Anne Marie Bannon, Jules McGeever. Who the feck are these faceless nonentities. Do they have a football background? A couple of the folk running and marketing the SSC were involved with Celtic a few years back
Kenneth Farrington
England or not, feck going to a friendly. Went to the Brazil & Nigeria games, but more for the trips to be honest. Sorry to to say I'll be watching the home qualifiers in the boozer. If folk are happy to get stung, fair enough, but it's taking this piss & a no from me. the_fadiator
I don't think this should get personal and criticism should be directed towards the board as a way of getting more sensible prices next time. That said, being involved with this joke of a pricing structure and then blindly restating illogical arguments isn't very "helpful". If they look at it purely on demand then you could say, assuming Ireland & England sell out, they've got the prices for at 2/3 so far spot on! Of course that's based on purely maximising revenue and abandoning any notion of a "club" and building customer loyalty.
Gala Tartan Army (Borders)
I'm boycotting England due to prices but will probably go to this.
Flure
A couple of the folk running and marketing the SSC were involved with Celtic a few years back That would have been Jules McGeever and Kenny MacLeod, I believe. MacLeod has since left the Scottish FA.
HIGHTOWER 1314
I am boycotting the england especially when the cheapest ticket is £50 an absolute scandal of a price for a scabby friendly.

Ridiculous prices I agree
Flure
I canny understand why anyone can describe any game against England as a friendly. It's not a competitive match. It's a friendly. There. I've just done it.
jimstroma
It's not a competitive match. It's a friendly. There. I've just done it. It's an international challenge match against the auld enemy with valuable ranking points up for grabs

Toepoke
It's an international challenge match against the auld enemy with valuable ranking points up for grabs Console yourself with that thought as England make their seventh substitution of the second half... Orraloon
Console yourself with that thought as England make their seventh substitution of the second half... Winning this game against England could be the difference between Scotland being in pot 2 or pot 3 for the next World Cup draw? So, yes it is a friendly but it just could turn out to be quite an important one.
Hope
I wasn't old enough to be fully aware of the England games in 99, so last year was the first time i've seen us play them really. I spent most of my childhood wishing for an England game at home ( i thought i'd never see one) so there was no chance of me missing the game next month. Doubt i'll go to the Gibraltar game though, as others have said, £35/40+ to see a glorified pub team is shocking.
France here we come
Don't get this "x amount to see Gibraltar" patter. I've never bought a Scotland ticket based on the opposition. Not sure that still going to some games is sending much of a message either with regards to protesting ticket prices.

Charlie Endell
This too but come on, who the fk disnae want te fk the english!!?!?!? Me. I have zero interest in the game. However you dress it up it's a friendly - or more accurately a money making exercise. Edited October 22, 2014 by Charlie Endell
John_B81
Both games moved from Hampden too. But yeah, I think the Faroes tickets were £12 for adults. (Which does mean the Georgia game took more than double the gate receipts, but that shouldn't be the point should it??????....) It was £18 in the North Stand that day, still very reasonable pricing. Lamia
I do. People who have probably never been to a Scotland game before are happy to pay it as one off because they are seduced by the fact we're playing England. They're not interested in boycotts because it doesn't make any difference to them like it does the fans who go regularly. I can see this being true
Jagtag
This too but come on, who the fk disnae want te fk the english!!?!?!? Given the choice, beat ROI 1-0 and lose 5-0 to England or draw with ROI and beat England 5-0 then it will show that even though I live here I don't really care about beating England. Yes I'd love to win both but Qualification comes first for me.
TheReid
Qualification for me also, i wouldn't be that disappointed with a defeat to England in the first place as long as the lads make a right good attempt at it.
scottincarlisle
As I said last year, I'd rather not play England unless its a qualifier. 2 friendlies in 15 months is a joke.
WeLuvIrnBru
Even the egg-chasers are pricing their friendlies correctly: SCOTLAND vs. TONGA - tickets £18 for adults, £10 for U18s & students and FREE for all U12s!
