Going in April for 4 nights.

Any must see's, good bars, cafes and restaurants etc?

Also maybe take a day trip somewhere if there's anywhere someone could recommend? :ok:

Here - http://www.unetickypivovar.cz/You can get by bus but also it'll cost you maybe £10 in a taxi each way. I went last March with 3 pals and got the brewery tour after we had lunch at around 12.30pm then sat all day supping til heading home at around 8.00pm..............the bill came and with a hefty tip it was £21 each including the food that was superb (lunch and dinner) and the tour and drinks. The place was busy as hell for on a Monday in early March and the locals were fantastic as were the staff.

Heading back in August for one of their festivals.

The 12 is without doubt the best beer I have ever tasted.

The Krkonose mountains in the north or Sumava national park in the South are beautiful places. If you have the time you can walk what used to be known as the Path of Czech-Polish friendship (so called because they used to shoot people trying to cross by the mountain path) where you zig-zag back & forth over the border - the Czech side is mountainous, the Polish side flat so you get spectacular views across Southern Poland. There are chairlifts you can hop on to cut the walking time.

Strakonice in the south is really pretty too & somewhere around there (I forget where but Google would find it) there's a castle modelled on Windsor castle that was built for an impressed Bohemian aristocrat.

Edit: link for the castle - http://www.sumava.com/rec_beznswrdhd_detls.php?l=en&bez=kasteel_hluboka

Excellent steakhouse called Cestr at the top of Wenceslas square. That would be my first port of call for dinner. Surprisingly, the set menu of starter and effectively two mains is excellent but don't leave without trying the Pilsner Urquell Dark Master beer ice cream. They are part of the same group that own three Beer halls called Lokal. For me, the one in the old town is the best beer hall in prague. Packed every day from about 5 ish. Cestr and all the Lokals have Pilsner Urquell tank beer - unpasteurised and fresh from the brewery.

Goes without saying that a trip to the Pilsner Urquell brewery is a must. About 90 minutes max by bus.

If you or whoever you are going with likes a cocktail or whisky then Hemingways bar is a good shout. Check online and call to book as can get busy and is a small place.
