I noticed the handball team recently went the other way and gave up their independent, along with the other 4 British regional teams to become GB. Hessen Posted October 22, 2014 Share Posted October 22, 2014 There hasn't been UK funding for surfing since 2010, whereas Sport Scotland has been helping Scottish surfers. Therefore it was an easy step for the team to stick together as 'Scotland', plus I believe that we used to have an independent surf team in the past.
