Dillinger
For anyone who has given thought to how much travelling they'll do, or indeed how many home games they'll make, for the next campaign - will you be doing the same, less or more than previous? Got to imagine I'll be doing less. It just doesn't appeal as much any more to be spending daft sums of money following us abroad when ultimately it never leads to anything. They're just becoming glorified holidays where the football is usually the worst bit. It would be great to qualify knowing that I've been there every step of the way, but that's a dream I've been chasing for years now and there's no sign of it getting nearer. Didn't even go to all the home games this time round as I wasn't paying 35-45 to see the likes of Gibraltar. Went into this campaign with less optimism than ever before and will go into next one with less still. It's depressing.
Squirrelhumper
Got 5 stag's next year Wembley will probably be my only away.
Bzzzz
It's getting more and more difficult to justify. Is getting very costly, these stupid thursday/monday/tuesday games are a joke when they start demanding additional days holidays or time off work. Would be nice if the SFA would maybe spare us a thought and show us some loyalty for a change instead of us just being cash cows. Dillinger
England double header is the really tempting bit
euan2020
Got 5 stag's next year Wembley will probably be my only away. no offence, but away stag party used to be Blackpool - not its half of eastern europe and wimmin wanting to go to New York I'm not even fussed on having one - My suggestion was to go to this dodgy club in Athlone in Cape Town (where i stay) which is a bit of a ropey area, to make more fun of it
Jacques Hunt
Given it a lot of thought and, whilst the money is one thing, for many of us with school kids who want to go (we do not all live in central belt) even the home games are difficult with this daft Monday/Thursday night carry on. Cannot see that changing with SKY rubbing their hands. Got to go to ingerland games though. It is like a drug I am afraid. Often considered walking away but just cannot. Not just Scotland games - the whole football fan exploitation thing grips my sh*t. Makes it even worse when you can see the bigger picture but still keep going. BTW - Do we have any friendlies booked for the play off dates??!!!!
dezmondo
Can't disagree with the stuff already. As a self employed person then its the cost of the trip plus the days off. For instance the Thursday Sunday games are brutal
Alan
Don't see how SFA can be blamed for Away games and the cost of flights, booze and tickets. Euro Champs qualifying is UEFAs "Week of football" to improve tv ratings.
King Of Paisley
Booking up for Slovakia and England for next year. Will go to all the home games. For the latter, I am lucky as I live close to Glasgow but feel sorry for the fans living in the likes of Aberdeen, Dundee, Inverness etc who have to make the trek for the midweek games. This 'week of football' is complete stuff and nonsense. The brainchild of the madman that is Platini.
Johnnyshaker
I'll probably do about the same; 2 or 3 home games and 2 or 3 away games but they will only be if they're convenient. I've got other priorities in life now!
wubbs
Gibraltar will be the first competitive away game that I've missed since Georgia 2007 - didn't fancy it after I saw the long range weather forecast a few months ago I'll continue to go to away games as I like football and I like travelling. Might go to home games if the SFA sort their prices out.
deecie
Less. My mates keep getting married.
buckielugger
I can no longer afford costly away trips. Had made it up to 10 pts but heading down to zero level now. I can't be the only one suffering money wise, no pay rise for 3 years , in fact lower pay... I do agree that we get rewarded points for attending games and tkt priority rightly goes to the most regular supporters. However, 10 away games might cover just 2 seasons and those pts can easily disappear to nothing as I am now finding. How about a longer period of recognition, maybe 30 games. ..3 pts for each of most recent 10, then 2 pts for each of previous 10 games, then 1 pt for the 10 games before that. Then I would also like home game attendance to score loyalty points too. Maybe a single pt per home game. Something like all of that would help acknowledge all the support we give... King Of Paisley
And what won't help in terms is this farce of a 'UEFA Nations League' to suit whingeing s like Wenger about the amount of international friendlies.
