Rossy Posted March 1, 2015 Share Posted March 1, 2015 Aberdeen are a decent team, but we simply don't have the strength in depth that Celtic have. I'm also not entirely confident in our defence and keeper, and as semi-finals (and the Pittodrie game against Celtic) have shown I think we're just missing that extra 5% when it comes to the really big matches. I think we'll be a better side next season than this, and regardless of today's result I think that 2nd place is our realistic goal. If Celtic score early I'd imagine they'll win comfortably. Doesn't worry me all that much though, I think the fact that both ICT and United lost yesterday will ultimately be more important for the Dons. Think we have to pleased as the progress made under McInnes in just over 18 months. We are virtually unrecognizable from the club and team of 2 years ago. Quite enjoying reading, watching and listening to the comments coming from 'Celtic minded' people. There is a degree of concern that they don't want to admit to because we are closer than they'd ideally like their nearest challengers to be. Just hope we turn up today and give them a game.
