redstevie007
Seeing how poor Celtic are today has got me thinking for the first time that Utd or Aberdeen really could push Celtic all the way. We and Utd have absolutely nothing to lose by throwing everything into our league form. Notwithstanding Rangers' absence it would still be a fantastic achievement. wembley67lisbon
We don't spend much these days. Not like we can go and buy someone that will score 20 goals anymore.

Fred_Zeppelin
I don't think it's time to start panicking, DU are lucky to be 2 up, some terrible defending and a terrible offside decision have seen to that. On another day we could be 2 or 3 up ourselves.
Fred_Zeppelin
And there you go, that should have been an equaliser.
Kenneth Farrington
We don't spend much these days. Not like we can go and buy someone that will score 20 goals anymore. Remember the days when you took it for granted a striker would score at least 25 a season? If Scepovic put away half the chances he misses he could probably hit 50 ha ha ha. sbcmfc
We don't spend much these days. Not like we can go and buy someone that will score 20 goals anymore. Instead of buying 1 striker to score 20 goals, Celtic appear to sign 20 strikers in the hope that one works out. With the exception of Hooper, the only real Talisman is Commons. So many flops they've tried up front!
Angus_Young
Not a chance for me. I predicted before the season started they would win it by 20 points. I'll admit that looks unlikely now but would still say 10+ points of a margin come May. Personally think the more interesting battle is Utd and Aberdeen for second place. That will go right to the wire IMO. When to the two teams meet late in the season? in fact don't answer that, will obviously be one of the last 5 games Edited December 21, 2014 by Angus_Young

Robroysboy
Another few results like that and i think celtic will replace their manager. Thank goodness strachan isnt " celtic minded" A mediocre team full of journey men. Scott brown should have moved to the english prem by now. He looked as if he was the only celtic player hurt by that result today. Well done utd, congrats.

northernscum
It would be superb to see someone, anyone, other than Celtic win the title this season. It won't happen though. This has to be one of the worst squads Celtic have had since god knows when, but they still seem to have enough to keep ahead of the pack. Even still having a live league race going into April would be uncharted territory going by recent history!
Rossy
Celtic are often pretty awful, but their strength in depth is (once again) going to be enough for them to win the league. Aberdeen are playing well, but we've had the luck that we've been able to have a consistent team over the last month. Our squad is paper thin and when you look at the bench we've got Cammy Smith together with a group of real youngsters. I'd like to see Milne going for it in the transfer window....not a lotta cash could see us getting Shinnie and an attacking midfielder. We won't do it though. wembley67lisbon
Rather than slag celtic it would be good too see fans praise the chasing pack. Keep the positive vibe going in scottish football.

Keep the positive vibe going in scottish football. Valid point. Aberdeen have had their best start to a league season in years, and we've played well in less than a handful of games. We bizarrely threw away a 2 goal lead at home to St Mirren and lost to Celtic when we should have won. Such a fine line...won these 2 games and we'd be 4 points clear at the top. It does give a bit of hope that finding consistency means we could get closer. Fact is though, Celtic won't have many games like today, where they lost despite having loads and loads of chances. We won't do it though. You want to play a team of attacking midfielders? You had 4 on the pitch at once at Firhill recently. Aberdeen would be better off without Goodwillie IMO. It would free up wages for someone who's a team-player, which is what Aberdeen are good at these days. No room for a billy big baws.
