Bristolhibby
is there any reason that the 1 friday night slot is always a Wales home game? Used to be France all the time. Would hate it if we were the Friday game. Let me guess (without looking) it's France or Italy? Our game in Cardiff is a Saturday evening! There will be many a Pished fan at that game. I think it's http://www.ticketone.it , but you could also phone murrayfield and ask. They're quite good at that. If you or a mate are a member of a Scottish rugby club, that would be the way I would go. Tickets won't be out for a awhile though. They don't congregate in a particular area - rugby crowds are mixed and it's all very safe. Trastevere is a nice area for hotels. Train station less so. Tartan Squirrel
Thanks very much Blackheart, there's a guy at my work a member of Ayr rugby club I'm sure,il ask him when I see him. Were pampered bye the SSC when it comes to away tickets I've not had to source one on my own for years! The hotel I've booked them is in Trastevere so that's a stroke of luck. It's pretty amateurish to be honest getting away tickets. I've always gone through my Uncle who is a member of an Edinburgh Rugby Club to get us ours. IMO that is your best bet. I go to a lot of Italian rugby games and I always get tickets through www.ticketone.it or www.listicket.it. These are official sellers like ticketmaster so no dramas, and you buy and print your ticket and then scan it at the gate to get into the stadium. Never had any problems (other than when the Argentina autumn test in Genoa was moved to the Friday night with 24 hours notice but that's another story!) You'll have no problems getting tickets - the Olimpico holds about 80,000, and all home 6 Nations games were moved there from the much smaller Flaminio a few years back. I'm not aware of Scotland fans congregating in any one area but you could always email the FIR to ask - I will have a look for an email address for you when I am home tomorrow. Pool Q
Traditionally quite a few of the fans have congregated in and around Piazza del Popolo before the game, I guess due to its relative proximity to Stadio Flaminio. Haven't been there for a few trips now though as there are relatively few bars at the square and I've never been a great fan of going abroad to hang around in a square with loads of guys from Scotland. Last time we got the Metro out to the Vatican area, had some lunch, did a wee bar crawl out towards Sadio Olympico, then headed for the beer tents at the stadium. Always had a great time at the rugby in what is my favourite city. Edited April 25, 2015 by Pool Q
Duncan Blackheart
Just iterating my earlier post, but for bars, I thought the Trastevere area was outstanding. Not been for rugby, but I'd imagine it's fairly busy in match day. Not really a direct tram to the ground - u r looking taxi - but it has some top bars and ristorante! Leave in good time tho. Stayed here for the game last year and would echo what you say! We took a bit of a magical mystery tour to the Olimpico from the Tibertuna station in Trastevere, which involved a walk through a nature reserve and over a hill - never again and a taxi next time I think! COLT NY
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to secure tickets for the Scotland game at the Millenium Stadium in February. I believe there's a public sale in a month, but what are the chances of getting tickets?Cheers.

That's genuinely the only way that any of my mates has got consistent access to Welsh rugby tickets.

Not sure about getting them now but the SRU normally have tickets for away games left in the couple of weeks before the game. Give the ticket office a phone. Duncan Blackheart
Your best bet's probably contacting a club.Yep - this. They may ask you to join, but once you do, you'll be in the draw for tickets. Probably do it soon as my club has sent out the ballot paper. You should get tickets if you are in the draw and join a club high up the leagues (they get more tickets).
