Clyde1998
YouGov Scotland poll out at around 10pm tonight - not looking forward to it. It's "newsworthy" apparently... - so Labour have probably gained on the SNP. Meanwhile, Miliband is polling above Cameron for the first time ever. exile
Here's an article on polling http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2015/apr/08/meet-the-pollsters-predicting-general-election-results They seemed to do OK for 2010 except over-predicted LibDem and under-predicted Others. But this elections seems more unpredictable...
Rossy
The assault on the SNP has been relentless from all angles for almost a week now. It's Project Fear all over again....any lie will do. I'd be amazed if they continue to poll as well as they've been doing.
King Of Paisley
Given how well Nicola performed in the leaders debate last week, who is to say that perhaps the SNP have increased their lead................
Clyde1998
I've been told Labour are up, but I haven't been told by how much. (I don't know how accurate this is though).
mariokempes56
If labour go up 2 points that's deemed 'newsworthy'
King Of Paisley
I'd reckon two points max. Whose to say the SNP haven't made any gains either.
Clyde1998
I think it'll be within the margin of error.

King Of Paisley
Also saw on the Hootsman that the polls are predicting an SNP victory in the Northern Isles.
Clyde1998
What does that equate to, Clyde1998? Assuming 1,000 people are asked - the margin of error will be 3.1% Assuming around 800 give a voting intention - the margin of error will be 3.46%. Clyde1998
Who by? "@Alasdair91: Apparently a poll tonight will show Labour up in the polls in Scotland." Based on what I've seen in the past, he's relatively reliable. Additionally, YouGov's website is pointing towards a "softening of the SNP vote" in their nowcast. My poll of polls model has shown Labour gain 3.3% on the SNP since the 1st. --- "@Blanchy13: Labour up 8 points on latest Scotland poll?" I don't know what to make of that... King Of Paisley
Even if Labour managed to make up some ground, you would still be talking a 15-16 point lead. With four weeks to go it might prove too much to claw back. But that won't get in the way of the State Broadcaster and the likes of Torcuil Crichton and David Clegg ripping the head off it at the thought. King Of Paisley
Have had a look at the Nowcast website. Basically said that there has been a slight softening in the SNP vote but still poised to all but wipe out Labour by taking as many as 55 seats. The trend shows that SNP only down 1 seat - Labour narrowly ahead in Dunfermline and West Fife.
