jimbers
I was just having one of my mad moments of thinking and its just dawned on me The SFA do'nt want us anymore they want new fans to replace us fans that are willing to spend more sit down in the North Stand Its like Radio One getting rid of Chris Moyles them losing lots of people and now they have a younger base of people with Grimshaw, doesnt matter they lost the old core (and a third of the listeners) They have new people now! dougiemacfarlanearran
Got to be a candidate for stupidest post of the year!
DonnyTJS
Got to be a candidate for stupidest post of the year! Yup. Radio 1 lost the 'old core' long before Moyles joined the station...
deecie
And when they booted out Moyles, they lost the 'new core' that replaced the 'old core'. Now all they have are 'yoofs'.
Lamia
utter drivel You think? That is what happened with Man Utd!
ParisInAKilt
It does seen that they don't value loyalty as much anymore. Could be a shift in policy that they later regret.
Robroysboy
IF we qualify for France 2016, there will be a huge lin of fans wanting to join the SSC for those "golden breifs" at the tournament. That is why I am hanging on in there, don't fancy Russia, Quatar or the euro's where there will be several host cities. What a stupid idea. Ally Bongo
As i said in the petition thread .. if they cared about us they wouldnt have hired Daryl Broadfoot never mind fleece us with ticket prices ......
fringo
It's not that they don't was us per se, they just want any fans willing to pay more money and don't care who it is old or new. The first sign was 6-10 years ago (can't remember exactly the time of the shift) when the North Stand was selling out fastest. They started gradually upping the North Stand prices more than other parts of Hampden. They've now taken this to a new level all over Hampden, CP & Ibrox. Equally, if we lose to Ireland next month they will struggle to shift tickets for the other home matches, other than Germany maybe.
Bzzzz
It is a business but we are not seen as the customers, that is the advertisers etc it's a corporate business, THEY are the customers, we are just the daft cntvs that attend no matter what and make the atmosphere whilst being taken the pash oot ae. they know that there is a certain amount of us idiots that will turn up rain or shine so walloping up the prices makes little difference to them. Trouble is, a boycott punishes the team, that's rubbish, what we need to do is get the team onside and get them to give us a voice they HAVE to listen to! jimbers
For me the saddest thing was not being able to afford to take my son to the Geogia game proberly a good thing as he was unwell and wouldnt have been able to go but part of me months ago was really looking forward to going to Ibrox seeing my collegues introducing him to Harry being able to get a bus (that takes from Renfew 20mins there and back again) I was looking forward to taking my wife to Gibraltar (she works Saturdays but not Sundays) but again we cannot justify the cost of say 85 quid which would make us struggle to pay the bills if this is the future it will be really hard to take Harry in the future I work a shift at Ibrox, Parkhead or Hampden and earn after tax just under £25 after tax the staff arnt getting paid the same as a ticket costs now and thats a shame!
