I suppose the idea is you are meant to get all riled like they stormed your castle and stole your flag. Whereas the reality is most folk were too busy chilling out and enjoying themselves to notice some wee perv was 'stealing their knickers off the line'. And then posting them on the internet... Wow, this the most pathetic shyte I have seen in a long while.

A real long shot but couldn't the SFA get in touch with the Polish FA and see if they could somehow arrange for the flags to be returned ?

Do you really think that is going to happen?

This is a victory to these boys stealing flags and getting there pic with there trophy's upside down for all to see. They are not going to return them.

Probably not no, but it's surely better to at least try rather than doing nothing about it :ok:

Ideally the Polish FA could somehow get in touch with the pricks responsible and say "right you've had your fun lads, just hand them over to us and we'll say no more." As I said in my original post, it is a real long shot.

Hope no one got hurt when these flags were pinched.

The only thing that could have been done to prevent it was to have fought for the flags at the time.

Just got to take it on the chin and get a new one made.

Contacting the Polish FA wouldnt get them i doubt they would even ask the ultras for them.

To be fair, it is quite funny.

Nothing funny about a wee scrote nicking your £200 flag...believe me...I have talked to them on their Facebook page and they said it was nothing personal.....oh well that's okay then eh...

Polish FA has nothing to do with it. Those people got no ticket, I`m absolutely sure.

I would rather speak/write to the group responsible fot that (clearly marked on photo). Say you`re not Celtic and stuff like that.

Very very long shot but make more sense more than involving PFA.

It`s a bit pathetic. I feel embarased when i see it tbh. I understand when it`s rivalry between clubs or even us vs ruskies/ukrainians/germans but Scotland? Must have been some rednecs with no idea what it`s all aboot.

theres fek all funny about it, some of these flags have personal memories connected to them, former foot soldiers who have passed away recently, memories how they used to drape their units flag around themselves also the mothers who are no longer with us who spent hours sometimes days making these flags. A12014 hopefully you may be able to secure the safe return of the flags to their rightful owners.the polish people are very proud of their country and flag we also are proud of ours, if anyone knows how important a flag is it should be the polish. cheers

It's common knowledge that Europeans ultras steal their opposition fans flags. The Tartan Army need to mature and protect their flags. Don't let them have their trophy.

That as well would we a wise move.

Not everyone has to be a fighter obviously. But simply keep an eye on your flag, don`t fly it and get pished or go somwhere else and forget where you been. It`s your beloved country flag after all. And it applies to every nation. I was disgusted few times by the way my countrymen treated our flag on home or away games.

Polish FA can t do something for it. The only ones who could do was the police but it s too late now.

But i think a letter from all clubs which flags were stolen should be sent to SFA to ask some money for help.

After all, we paid expensives prices to home games and going to away game, we are (too much) loyal, so in return they could help some clubs to pay for new flags...

I got a £2 flag nicked - turned into a tug of war but I didn't have enough of a grip. I hung it over the bar wall and presto, there were about 5 wee neds who took off. It was actually quite funny, if they asked me for it I'd have given them it. Not funny getting a valuable one stolen though - but there were lots of big flags on display on pavements etc, easy targets.

Would it be worth providing a link to their Facebook page with a link to the two donations made to Polish charity organisations by TACC. and TASA. We could then offer to pay a " ransom" to a charity of their choice and the flags would be returned to us. I realise I'm probably being a bit naive and they couldn't give a flying fork. Again the local press in Warsaw may be willing to help.

In reply to MOX and FANATYK - firstly it really isn't that funny as someone could have been seriously hurt and secondly we were keeping an eye on the flag.

It was tied to a fence separating 2 bars and we were siting right beside it.

There was a little ned siting in the next bar on his mobile phone, obviously keeping them updated, the next thing a group of them came out of nowhere grabbed the flag and the fence went with the flag. We were just lucky no one was hurt in the commotion.

Our guys did chase them and caught the ned on the mobile phone but we had kids with us and I would not allow my husband or close friends to do anything to him and then we would have been the fans with the bad reputation.

Worse of all he stood there and taunted us about revenge for the Celtic match. We just left the bar before there was any more trouble.

We have had our flag for about 15 years and it has been all over the world. The sad thing is, people from all over the world also had enjoyment from the flag, kids loved it because of the dancing thistle, wanting their photo taken with it, so unfortunately that will no longer be the case.
