Not been to a game this campaign - will it have to be a case of asking someone who has points to get me and a few of my mates tickets or do they ever go on general sale...?

I wouldn't worry about getting tickets for this game.probably the easiest game ever to get 1.

Just sent this email to SSC and I'll share the response

Hi

When are these going on sale ?
Our party has booked flights and accommodation already, of the 8 travelling 3 are on 9 points and 2 on 2 points and 3 are non members.
Will there be tickets to buy for the 3 non members ?
What other information do you have on the ticket situation ?

They'll tell you that they wont sell tickets to non-members. That's never going to happen.

Thank you for your email.
We are still awaiting our ticket allocation being confirmed. We have been pushing for this information so hopefully we have it very soon.
The section of the stadium that we will be sitting in was under construction, that's why there has been a slight delay.
Once this has been finalised we will send an email to all members with full details and a sales schedule.

I think that message relates to Georgia and not Gibraltar.

That's a fair comment. Arbroath55 - did you mention Gibraltar in the subject of your email to the SSC, or anywhere else in the message? If not, it would be a fair assumption to make that they think you are asking about the Georgia game, considering that is the next away one.

I had Gibralter v Scotland in my subject line and did wonder about the response as there`s no mention on the Gibralter FA site

So I've emailed ssc seeking clarification and will report back

Hi,
Away match tickets are exclusive to members of the SSC only.
We are referring to the match against Georgia where the Boris Paichadze Stadium is under construction.

Hi

Ok now that we`ve established that you are referring to the stadium in Georgia but I am referring to the match in Faro then may I ask when we will receive information on ticket applications for Gibralter v Scotland ?

It'll be after the Georgia game.

All you'll do if you keep emailing them about the Gib game is piss them off. EVERYBODY in the SSC who wants a ticket for it will get one. Of that there is no doubt.

If you're not in the club, buy a home end one, there'll be plenty availability.

If you do insist on emailing them again ask about the Lithuania game too.

If they'd tell us what was happening re the Gib game, then no one would need to e-mail them and piss them off. We're the ones pissed off. We're paying a fair bit of money to be part of the SSC and I reckon that we deserve a bit better service, even if it's only to say that Gib tickets go on sale (say) on 14th August or whatever. This happens with every away match; home tickets go on sale weeks and weeks before we know what's happening with the away tickets. The high-heidyins need to sharpen up their planning skills.

Apologies for the confusion Michael, we have had many queries regarding the match against Georgia recently.
The ticket allocation will be confirmed for Gibraltar closer to the time, again we will email all members with full details once we have them confirmed.

What they really mean is members will be informed by email the day before tickets go on sale

I am happy with that as I always have to pick up....in the good old proof of travel days when they did post tickets I used to shite myself Incase ticket never got here in time....icing on the cake was when I tracked my ticket for the Netherlands game and it had mistakenly been put on a plane to Kuala Lumpur !!!

We are going to get a huge allocation for the Gibraltar game but the SFA and Gibraltar have other things to sort first before they concentrate on this match.

The SFA have to first of all deal with the Georgian FA to get our allocation for this match sorted first. The game is 4 weeks on Friday! Then the world champions visit Hampden a few days later.

Every SSC member are highly likely to get a ticket if they want one and even if they dont they can buy online from the Gibraltar FA. So why the huge panic?

It wasn't that long ago people were boycotting the Gibraltar game. Now they are desperate to get a ticket to see Gibraltar. :D

Indeed, I wonder if they would boycott the game if the tickets were priced at 50 euros

I'm not sure why anyone would boycott a game run by the Gibraltar FA, in protest at ticket prices set by the SFA.
