Toepoke
Middle class golf s.I'd flatten all golf courses and build shelters for the homeless and affordable housing for the working class on them. He got booed at Hampden too. Drunk sports fans and politicians don't go...
ShedTA
If it was pro-indy types booing cameron it would be all over the news and roundly condemned I have no doubt.
bruce778
He got booed at Hampden too. Drunk sports fans and politicians don't go... Indeed. It's tradition for politicians to be booed by sports fans at such events! But the paranoia is in full force on here!

Bannannan
Things have changed.Simply forgetting the result and working together for a "better" Scotland just isn't on at this time.Scotland is divided, not together.

Rossy
Indeed. It's tradition for politicians to be booed by sports fans at such events! But the paranoia is in full force on here! Nothing to do qith paranoia, and I don't give a sh*t about him being booed in general....I'm sure he doesn't either. I care more that this was a major sporting event being beamed round the world, and some d*ckheads soil the ocassion by choosing to act like tiny minded wee bigots. It reflects badly on Scotland. But that's only my opinion...I'm sure yours is different.
phart
He got booed at Hampden too. Drunk sports fans and politicians don't go... Yeah if Tony Bliar appeared somewhere i'd travel just to boo at him. Now of course i feel i have far more justification to boo Bliar as opposed to Alex Salmond, but for some in their minds Salmond's actions will have been as egregious as Bliar's . Bzzzz
More likely to be the english booing Salmond. Unionists are an embarrassment to Scotland whether they boo or not.
weekevie04
Plenty of knobs booing him Thursday at opening ceremony. I finally snapped with one of them. Good on you. Did they say anything back? My pal kept getting looked at for still wearing his Yes badge - just sniding wee looks on a train and the 5th time the person kept turning to clock his badge, he asked them what the problem was. Silence and ''Nothing'' was the reply. Edited September 29, 2014 by weekevie04
peever1745
Aye ok the booed or FM but it could have been worse. They could have sung rule Britania while giving Nazi salutes like the other supporters of the glorious union.Don't we live in a great country. bruce778
and here come the apologists, to dismiss any criticism of the union and all good unionists!I didn't defend the booing. I was there on Thursday and didn't boo but plenty did. To portray it as embarrassing to the country is an exaggeration. I think people would have found it quite amusing. Further, it would have happened with all other politicians regardless of which side they were on so I don't think too much should be made of it! I get the party atmosphere thing and the whole anti-politician sentiment but like you I would not have booed regardless of who it was. I was listening to it on the radio and it was pretty embarrassing to hear it.

Hessen
Of course I never booed the FM. I was amazed how many did though. The Americans must have been surprised...they would never boo their President even if they hadn't voted for them....and hand on heart I wouldn't boo Cameron at a golf event, it is disrespectful to the folk who are there just for the golf, but, I would boo him at a football match!
