adamntg
Polish side Lech Poznan will demand £500,000 from Celtic for left back Barry Douglas. (Daily Record) Seriously? When he left United there was no more than a mass shoulder shrugging. Assumed if he was coming back to Scotland it would be to someone like the Jags or St Mirren. hannibal smith
Kiltie was the only youngster who'd have given a scout anything to think about from our team on friday. O'Hara, Slater, Johnston etc have gone backwards under Locke. that doenst surprise me

aaid
Cracks me up people suggesting that Scottish players should go to Europe when the success rate of players that have done that is next to non-existent. In the last 20 years, I can only think of one player for who it could be considered a success and that's Lambert. I hope that Ryan Gauld is an exception -and think that he may be - but I suspect that if he does, it will have more to do with his attitude than his talent. Hertsscot
I see that Ross Wallace has just been released by Burnley. I always thought he was a decent player and am a little surprised he didn't get more than one cap. Can't see him getting any more caps but great taker of a free kick. Kirk
sounds like agent talk to me with him wanting a move back to UK. i cant see Celtic paying for a left back with izagueri (sp?) and that young boy coming through. Izagueri (I copied your spelling which I think is wrong) is pish.
adamntg
Players can change if they learn to improve on their bad points. Look at how United improved Andy Robertson? Hmmm. Robertson was outstanding for Utd from day one. I'm not sure Utd did much other than give him a platform. Dixon was also a fine left back, but Douglas was ok but little more. I admit I haven't seen him since he left.

ProudScot
agree with this re Douglas. He was a handy player at times but was no Andy Robertson. It's only a £500,000 transfer being talked about here - Nobody is comparing him to Robertson. Seems he's been playing regular in another country, scoring too and has probably improved so would be interesting to see if he can now cut it at a club like Celtic

adamntg
Or Dundee Utd... Nah. I assumed First Division was his level.
GHfaeGTA
Or Dundee Utd... Marky I don't think you will find many Utd fans wanting him back. He was below average and most were surprised he got that move. Seems to have done quite well over there however

He's not exactly a veteran at this satge of his career. Graham Alexander didn't make his Scotland debut til he was in his 30s iirc.

Caledonian Craig
Ideally, David Marshall needs to get the hell away from Cardiff. I can see him stagnating there. Obviously, Snodgrass should be looking for a move but he isn't in a good position just now having been out for a year with injury so he may be forced to stick around at Hull and reprove his worth for a few months. Robertson as well should be eyeing up a transfer to an EPL club - perhaps somewhere like Everton if possible.
Craig1209
I can see Robertson ending up at Norwich along with Dorrans now that they've got promotion. Alex Neil has done a cracking job with them so could see a good Scotland contingent in that squad with Whittaker and Martin already there. wanderer
I think Snodgrass will stay at Hull for next season out of loyalty to make up for all he has missed this season and help them get back into the Premiership (though maybe a loan/move to Norwich in the Winter transfer window if he hits the ground running?) Robertson might get a move, but can not see where he would go that he would get first team action. Marshall is pretty much the same, no Premiership teams are on the look out for a new 1st choice keeper, so he would be moving to the likes of a Norwich or Aston Villa to play back up.
