  1. Thought he did really well when he came on, looked composed on the ball, good positional sense, made some important interventions, excellent tackle that wiped out Fernandes and left him greeting on the floor. If he can play like this week in, week out then he should be on Clarke's radar.
  2. And to think that VAR was meant to get rid off all the controversy. It just seems to have moved it up to another level.
  3. English Cup semi final pretty boring first half nowhere near as good as the Aberdeen game yesterday. Second half a lot more interesting!
  4. I'm more optimistic and (maybe naively) still thinking 'if' the SNP take a hammering rather than 'when'. It's a possibility but it's by no means inevitable. Starmer is not liked, Labour are basically Tory-lite and Scots know they have let Scotland down so badly, so many times in the past. The Tories have been an absolute disaster. The Lib Dems are a non-entity, once upon a time you might vote for them if you wanted to rejoin the EU but not now. The big challenge for the SNP is to inspire people and get the vote out, and there's obviously work to be done. The way I view it is that the GE is basically a massive opinion poll. Even if the SNP won every Scottish seat they still won't hold sway and none of their policies are ever going to be enacted by a Westminster Government but if Unionist parties gain seats it will undoubtedly be used against the cause of Scottish independence.
  5. Plenty of time to pick up a few more injuries before the end of the season and then in the two friendlies beforehand. I'd be surprised if we don't have at least one other drop out. Really difficult for Steve Clarke.
  6. Thought Aberdeen did really well yesterday, though that's not a lot of consolation. Thought you were really unlucky with several refereeing decisions; Celtic's first (there was an incident before where one of the Aberdeen players, possibly McGrath, was raging), possible push on MacDonald, the Miovski pen. and obviously the CCV incident.
  7. Interesting context from the BBC who are not known for being particularly sympathetic to the SNP: "Holyrood, parties were trying to outbid each other on how quickly the country could go, eventually settling on a pace far beyond what experts had planned for. The Scottish Greens - who are now in government with the SNP - proposed aiming to cut emissions by a whopping 80% compared with the baseline year of 1990. But parliament settled on 75% - still 5% more than recommended - and the Climate Change Bill was agreed by all parties except the Greens, who abstained." Chris Stark who's the departing head of the CCC has stated that the 2030 target was unrealistic from the start. Iirc he's also said that the 2045 targets are still are liable to be met.
  8. Right, who on this board can play? I can only be used sparingly due to the arthritis on my toe joint. Seriously bad news for Scotland and really unlucky for Armstrong.
  9. Carter Vickers and Scales must be glad that Miovski's off.
  10. Very one sided at the minute. Can see Celtic getting more.
  11. I genuinely don't know what the rules are for handball anymore. I think it would have been harsh given how close Scales(?) was to the ball. However, as poor as MacDonald's defending was, I do think there might have been a bit more analysis of Kyoto's role. Did he have both hands on MacDonald's back? Was it a push? On the other hand MacDonald didn't seem to complain maybe I'm just clutching at straws.
  12. Depends what you mean by criticism. Only reason I'd criticise someone is a lack of effort.
