Nowt's changed from what I saw on Sportscene...

'We will continue to report on Rangers both on and off the pitch and will feature match action where appropriate but, until this issue is resolved, we will not be sending journalists to Ibrox or attending Rangers press conferences.'

Media rights restored after assurances from the BBC that their coverage will be balanced.

Was giving fair and balanced coverage not what got them banned in the 1st place?

Were the sycophantic puff pieces in David Murrays office with Chick young that used to gee us all the boak fair and balanced?

The BBC felt the need to give the assurance. I would imagine they would have stuck to their guns otherwise.

If their reporting was fair and balanced in the first place why have they had to give an assurance of it?

Sounds like they're admitting the reporting was unfair and are addressing the issue.

Sad but predictable. Everyone knows the bbc have been a mouthpiece for old.and.New rangers but I actually hoped that them being banned yet again might have led to more balanced reporting, deluded or what.

They're not at all. Good attempt at spin though.

It'll bite the BBC on the backside when they ignore something which is reported widely on social media and other media outlets.

Yes, because they are still worrying about their hideously biased reporting of the Independence Referendum aren't they?

They couldn't give a toss if they're seen to be corrupt or biased because nothing ever happens to them.

So why this sop to Rangers within a couple of weeks? What are they so shite scared of?

The BBC are bowing to the realities of the situation. It is a fine line they have to tread, pandering to the Rangers support while retaining some degree of integrity and credibility (stop laughing). The best we can hope for is that it doesn't descend to the levels, referred to above, of a few years back with Chic Young being ecstatically double teamed by Smith & Murray.
