I'm always a bit on the fence with the old firm in Europe, if they win, it gives me an interest, if they lose, I get to laugh at them.

As far as handicapping them domestically, but not giving them £10-20million, the Europa league groups is probably the best result. Thursday nights in some right back waters I hope!

Definitely lose - if there was no prize money involved, I'd want them to win.

The co-efficient argument is bogus also. Two coefficient points are awarded for a win in the Europa League - the same as in the Champions League - where the opposition will be of a lower quality making wins easier. This should more than offset any bonus coefficient points that are awarded for getting to the latter stages of the CL.

Was hoping they'd go through as I like seeing the big CL games in Glasgow and it would be a decent wedge of cash to Killie too.

In the end the performance put my missus in such a bad mood she went off to bed after 80 minutes leaving me the remote control, so happy days :)

I was speaking to Dennis Bridgeford, chairman of Clach on Saturday and he was desperate for them to qualify as the money they get a huge (for their standard).

Does the CL money filter down as far as the Highland League? Surprised to hear that. I know SPFL teams benefitted.
