  1. On 7...hanging in the balance tbh
  2. 2xseats from larnaca please mate. Just let me know how much it is and I can pay pal across the funds.
  3. His parents are Scottish (which probably makes him more Scottish than some of the team) and I'm not in any way prejudice against him for being English. Certainly has done some decent jobs in the past with the exception of Newcastle. The only thing that might put me off is the malpractice he was sacked for at England but tbh I don't know the full story
  4. I think that's a bit harsh on Morrison, for me he was one of our best players against Slovenia but it went under the radar because Armstrong made his debut and was decent too. I think that's why in the England game he was nailed pretty early on. He looked always to take the ball against Slovenia and get us moving. In terms of younger players I am always of the opinion our best players should be on the pitch in a competitive game. No matter if they are young or old. Its up to the younger ones to show they are playing at a consistently high level and a better level than an older person in his position. Tierney is a good example of someone who is someone who can break through if playing well. We kept having to pick Hutton for example because he was pretty much the best we had at the time, playing an inferior player just because he is young isn't really something I am keen on Theres an argument to say younger players could be put into the squad to get used to it, but is their development better served in the u21s for example if they aren't deemed good enough to get minutes for the senior team. Simply enough is there any player U21 just now that could improve our first 16 players, that would get a start or make a sub appearance in a game? Burke would be the obvious example but from what I have seen the players picked in front of him are better just now so he is probably better served in the U21s for now, its up to him to break through. Friendlies are slightly different where you could probably experiment and give game time to fringe players and youngster In terms of Scottish based players unless they are proving themselves to be performing well in European level or having a ridiculously great season I wouldn't have them if a English championship player is there, its a higher level than the Scottish premiership I'm afraid especially from mid table upwards. Their league can attract a much higher standard of player. Stachan though has failed to pick guys like Bardsley, Adam and George Boyd who all play in the premiership or have done and not picked in squads. You would need to ask Strachan why, possibly because they don't fit the system
  5. I think the most frustrating aspect is once again after getting ourselves in a good position in a game we concede not long afterwards. We went 2-1 up away to Poland and lost an equaliser (not a bad result granted but seeing the game out would have been better), we equalised away to Germany and lost a second not long after. Germany at home we equalised twice and each time we lose a goal shortly after (one was about ten minutes after Half time after equalising juts before) Ireland at home we played well and got the win but I am sure they hit the bar towards the end of the game. And Poland at home we manage to get ourselves 2-1 but again shortly after we concede an equaliser and of course theres Saturday. There is a clear frailty in our team and we don't seem to be learning any lessons or improving at staying solid once we get ourselves into a decent position in the game . In terms of Saturday I actually thought we played better down at Wembley and got gubbed 3-0, England looked a bit rusty going forward and the flicks and passes they were trying weren't coming off, we didn't look like much of a threat either. I thought Martin did well when he came on and gave us a bit of physically that we were lacking up until that point. Two great goals from the Thumb. Gordon should be doing better for the goals imo
  6. I went for south parks - "Blame Canada" They should really make that their national anthem tbh
  7. On todays email from the SFA. Football has changed quite a bit in this country going by this, I cant imagine this at club level tbf...is it a bit out of touch by the SFA to advertise something like this for a football match/a prize going by its normal clientele or is it me out of touch of what football fans would want to buy/apply for? I suppose some people might want this sort of stuff but I didn't really think it these would be that popular amongst the average football fan when going to a game
  8. Just came on to say the same. Received in my work and personal email addreses
  9. http://scottishfa.co.uk/resources/documents/ScottishFAPublications2015/16/Annual Report 2015.pdf Just had a quick view of the annual report of the SFA for 2015, I noticed income is given a bit of detail but there doesnt seem to be a high level breakdown of expenditure. Does anyone know if this is published elsewhere? I would be interested to see what % of costs are spent on youth development etc and what other costs are incurred by the Association. The accounts published on companies house dont go too much into high level detail either cheers in advance
  10. I think you are taking that post out of context and it was in reference to an ongoing conversation The point I was making is what are we changing as part of the protest, my OP earlier in the thread was asking what level of change are we actually looking for (and did add further question as to who people might like) and what topics are being protested against If we dont even know the level of change or even the areas we are protesting against then its pointless. I also also said the protest is one way to bring about the change that might actually work, but again the main question is what level of change do we want. I named a few areas of change too that I wanted to see happen.
  11. But what change though??? Its alright saying "give us change" but what does that actually mean. Its just a word without substance or basis. What is the actual goal of the protest? I'm not disagreeing the average fan doesnt really know the ins and outs of everything the sfa however there are people out there that do who are Scotland fans. It needs to be co-ordinated properly by people involved in the industry. Maybe stopping the sfa's money would help the SFA look at all the topics I mentioned so its a starting point, but saying "give us change" literally means nothing. If you tell someone you are protesting to "we want change" and they reply with "change what" and the repsonse is "dunno just change" then whats the point. Also how do you expect people to join in when they dont even know what they are protesting about or campaigning for?
  12. If the goal is to "sack the board" then yes tbh. Otherwise the counter argument will be you dont have in depth knowledge therefore your opinion and protest should be taken with a pinch of salt Generally its called research and talking to people in the industry and looking at what other adminstrations do. If you want to make real change then all od these things need to be considered and decided upon. If its not decided upon then all that will happen is the current board picking their own succesors and on it goes again
  13. Whats the goals of the protest? 1- Sack the manager (and if so who do we want to bring in)? 2 - Sack the whole Board (and replace with who)? 3 - Sack Regan ( and replace with who)? 4- change the whole structure (and if so what structure should we go to in terms of youth development, corporate structure etc and who leads that restructure) 5- Sack the players? 6 - Demand more investment into youth football (and if so where does the cash come from) 7 - Change ticket prices (and to what level and if theres a shortfall in running costs how do we cover it) BTW I am not saying the fans shouldn't be doing something proactive to try and make change but I think if we are doing collective protests we should have some sort of end goal in mind othewise its just a pointless excercise that will fizzle out after folk have given the SFA a kick in. Personally as a starter I would like to see full transparency of the SFA's accounts including detailed expenses and a list of people and their roles for joining the contingent for away games. I would also like to see a detailed account of the amount of facilities in each region of Scotland how how they are readily available to youngsters. Also go back to the old style membership for about 20 quid and stick your goody back nonsense, £20 from 30k members should surely be enough to cover cocst for adminstering tickets
