Holty
SNP - 55.3% (+26.0) LAB - 35.8% (-8.5) CON - 4.4% (-0.4) UKIP - 3.2% (+3.2) LDEM - 1.3% (-1.3) 34.5% swing from Labour to SNP. If that is replicated across the country in May then, well........
bruce778
Should that be Labour -28.5%?
King Of Paisley
Very encouraging when you consider Glenrothes to be in staunch Labour territory. Perhaps our residents on here from the Kingdom can point out whether Glenrothes is in the Kirkcaldy & Cowdenbeath seat catchment.
Charlie Endell
No, Glenrothes is a separate constituency in its own right.

Flure
Aidan Kerr @Aidan_Kerr1 To non-Scottish followers the SNP getting 55% in a council ward in Fife is like the Greens winning Kensington.

peever1745
Was this not the constituency that lost the voting register a few years back when Linsey Roy was surprisingly declaired the winner?

adamntg
I used to live in Glenrothes West, Tanshall to be precise. Saw the value of my flat drop from £22,000 to £8,000 in a year after everyone in similar properties started dying of carbon monoxide poisoning from the hot air heating that I think I'm right in saying the GDC bought in bulk from East Germany after they condemned them. Clyde1998
These local results are very good for the SNP - and show that the surge isn't just something fake in the polls, there is some substance to it. Hopefully it holds out until May...
Clyde1998
The Western Isles results was an Independent gain from Labour - who didn't stand. This Independent stood as an SNP candidate in 2012 - so... it's a sort of win...
