Well done Andy.

A brave decision to come out for Yes. We all remember the shit he got for joking about Paraguay.

Fantastic - considering his career is relied upon by the elite of London and Wimbledon.

Thing is, win Wimbledon and he can pretty much say what he likes. We all knew that he was a Yes from day one.

No need for him to do this..but huge respect to him. Putting his beliefs before his career.

His career? He's a multi multi millionaire. It won't have any influence on his career IMO. It's the same as all the other celebs who have come out in favour of one side or the other. After it's all over they'll all clear off to their tax havens and sip their champagne while the rest of Scotland deals with the aftermath of the vote.

Disagree dave. For certain he will not enjoy the support he currently has from the little englanders. Possible loss of sponsorsbip. Of course he doesnt need the money but he will incur the wrath of many.

I'd be amazed if he lost sponsors. If anyone left him he'd quickly be snapped up by another company. The tennis fans at Wimbledon are all sensible enough not to care! If Rory Mac can declare for the Republic in the golf and still turn up in the wee six counties without incident then Andy Murray will be ok.

I'm a big tennis fan and also a big fan of Andy Murray and really couldn't give a toss if he's a yes or a no man. I'll still be hoping he wins more majors.

Daily Mail is hilarious....they have an article calling independence supporters 'thugs', and then they allow (encourage) the most disgusting abuse about Murray.

And they had the cheek to call the SNP the seriously nasty party! (Only a day after a pretty vicious and unnecessary character attack)

i hope in an iScotland we could at least ban the print edition of the daily mong. i cant put into words how much contempt i have for the editors and journo's of that poisonous rag.

In an iScotland, the daily mail will come with a free paper cut every day for its readers.

It's part of the Edinburgh Agreement

If you were a true tennis fan you would know that those "fans" who tend to pitch up at Wimbledon to watch British players are clueless about tennis beyond a two week home tournanent. They don't share the same perceptions as actual tennis fans - they are largely a Last Night at the Proms brigade. If you asked centre court during a British player's match who had won the French Open or what the ATP meant they would not have a clue.
