Stapes Posted April 25, 2015 Share Posted April 25, 2015 As much as I love to see these types of rallies on TV, and they're great to go to too, I think at this point in the campaign I would question whether they're more useful than standing speaking to people in a town centre. Was out in Dalkeith today and the response was incredible - best I've ever seen. People normally just take a leaflet and pass on, but today they were telling you they had voted, or were voting, SNP. People of all ages too. Most of those with negative comments were older, but the older vote has definitely softened towards us on today's evidence. We can do this - I'm a happy man this afternoon. I clicked on it, some fanny was on stage saying that the SNP would stand up against millionaire business owners... The same moron who wrote the advertising for this "rally" I presume. I clicked it off and strangled a kitten such was my rage. Hypocrites everywhere Edit: And the worst thing about it? People cheered the ####er! The SNP must love these things, people will go away from this believing that's SNP position, then the SNP can simply say "we never said that, some fanny at a rally did." I wouldn't support independence if I didn't. Do you think it's acceptable to mislead people to achieve it? Take the moron at the rallies claim which was cheered. The SNP allow their wealthy backer Souter, to dictate their policy on public transport, evident from their U-Turn on regulating bus routes. Just a few weeks ago, the SNP stood with the energy companies and the Tories against an energy price freeze. They denied requests to delay the tendering of the ScotRail contract until avenues for Nationalising the service were explored. They cut public services in their Holyrood budget to provide tax relief for businesses. That is not standing up to Millionaire business owners. One of the main tools used by establishments over the decades to combat Socialism is the old tried and tested "divide and conquer". Looks like it's still working. Despite him being a convicted liar, I rarely bring up the charge against him, his behaviour towards activists, in particular females within the SSP is the reason behind my absolute hatred of the man.
