I agree, there's something appealing about getting the job done - once is enough - and then bailing out. He has achieved what he needs to and appreciates that he will always lose to Hamilton in a straight fight. There's more to life...
Most drivers seem to forget that racing is meant to be enjoyable and in F1 at present in particular you see precious few demonstrably happy to be there. Perhaps if he were minded a wee switch to sports cars would rekindle the enjoyment as it has in so many others these last few years.
