thplinth
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/apr/01/germanwings-passenger-video-authentic-paris-match It took 8 mins to descend, at what point do you get a mobile phone connection? Could some passenger have been streaming live video through an internet connection at lower altitudes? I think it might be real.

thewelk
http://www.planecrashinfo.com/cause.htm Humans are a problem. The irrational passenger humans (and pilot unions) keep the pilot humans in the front of the plane. Edited April 1, 2015 by thewelk
ger intae them
Yeah, but as tartan monkey says, even though the cost of 100's of 1000's of pilots preventing a few certain crashes (the hudson landing, ba's 777 just sneakin over the fence, etc, etc) probably doesnt make financial sense, the public opinion will always go the safest way, and that is computers and humans... whether or not the human has to be sitting in the front of the plane? Is the cost benefit done on new drug development, or even what drugs can be given to people in need of a certain age, cost of making cars safe etc etc
