Charlie Endell
The Charlatans' album is an absolute belter - a very pleasant surprise. I infuriatingly missed their Barrowlands gig as I was at Cheltenham.

TartanJon
I've half listened to the Modest Mouse album and I'm liking what I hear on that. They've been about for 20 odd years and I'd never heard of them until about a month ago.Leftfield have a new one coming out soon and are playing the Barras. Anybody heard The Black Rivers album ? I canny get it on download and I'm too Tartan Teddy to pay for it

Angus_Young
Yes. Very Heathen Chemistry-era Oasis sounding. Supported Noel Gallagher recently. They were very well received. His is also a cracker incidentally and another vote for The Charlatans here.
Fairbairn
Benjamin Booker's album is one of the best debuts I've heard in years and he's sensational live.

Return of Yermaw
Belle and Sebastian Courtney Barnett Public Service Broadcasting The Charlatans Your welcome Feel free to add your choice (except you mad metal kents wie yer bad dress sense and crap trainers) PSB - got their EP from a few years ago with war speeches and enjoyed it but didn't love it. The Race to Space though is fantastic. "Guidance" on Go makes the album in itself. I love electronic music when at home and trance when running. Always dismissed Chicane but their latest album is fantastic. Desperately awaiting the release of Go Team and San Fermin.
