If your near the castle your right in the old town plenty of bars from German type bier kellers to Irish pubs plus all the local bars most serve food..You should be around a 20 min walk to the ground, and would say the Warsaw uprising museum is a must.

We just wandered round the old town at leisure. It's a great city, loads of places to eat & drink.

Went to the Copernicus Centre with my son & also up the Palace of Culture to the viewing platform of city.

Scott - where did you find to go in the old town ? We wandered for ages but obv. took a few wrong turns and found not a lot.

The Warsaw Uprising Museum, just opposite the Novotel is well worth a visit. There are loads of we cafe/restaurants all over town with cheap beer and excellent food. Great city, can't wait to revisit, and hopefully get another result.

The Warsaw Uprising Museum is a fair bit off the Novotel, its nearer the Ibis Centrum but its worth going to.

Change your money over there you can get over 5 zlotty to the pound here its 4.4ish ! Plenty of exchanges about the city !

We got 4.93 in March from an ATM in Warsaw and calculated our 5 zloty pint of 5.8% Polish Beer in the Irish Bar in the old town at about £1.12. Sterling has strengthened since then and the rate is about 5.33 today so that same pint will come in about 97p.

A 2 course meal in a really good restaurant will set you back about £12 with house wine about £6.50 a litre, first place we went into was running a 2 - 4 - 1 happy hour between 4 and 7 ( next to The Westin )

We cashed in £100 each for 2 days and I still had £30 left at the airport.

I'm staying 3 days this time and reckon £100 will help me live like a lord
