I have gone beyond worrying about the real result it is the fix that worries me now.

A dear friend of mine, he's a communist but I don't hold it against him, is worried sick about a fix too... Only for Yes. He is convinced London capital seek a Yes vote to create a Tax haven in Scotland.

With the incompetence of the No campaign, you can occasionally buy into it.

I can sympathise with that as it does seem like they are trying to lose it. Not their actual appearance which resembles a shivering dog at this point more their strategic and tactical decision making which has a strong suicidal streak through it. I think subconsciously they maybe want to die due to being so crap.

I just don't understand the staunch No viewpoint.

You live in what could potentially be one of the most wealthy independent countries on the planet. Why would you want to be ruled by a government that you can't realistically influence? Furthermore, why would you want to be ruled by said government given their disdain for your country? How can you be so certain that your country is so incapable of making a go of things?

I can understand the undecideds/ soft Nos. They are living in a country where the media and your of institutionalisation is telling them that they are too wee and too rubbish to be any good. But there is still a part of these people that believes that an independent country can be a success. They just need a reason to believe in an independent Scotland.

I have no doubt whatsoever that if there was more media backing for Yes, we would not be talking about 'if' we could win. Instead we would be talking about the margin of victory.

I can only speak about the hard Nos I know.

1) they are genuinely concerned about their jobs. (Defence sector and financial services sector).

2) they feel British first, Scottish second. They totally feel British.

3) Scottish Tories. They get the government they want 50% of the time, so why get rid of that.

4) Old people harking back to the war who believe we are too small, couldn't live without Mother England.

That's the categories I know of. Only one I have had success with was the old ones.

When I returned from Germany I was 100% convinced it would be a YES.

I am now utterly convinced that it will be a NO by a fair margin.

I say that because I feel the YES are not focusing on promoting the positives but are spending too much time focusing on the failings of the NO.

Come on Scotland!!!!

The Earl of Portree is right, stop flapping aboot - 60% + easy.

If I was in charge I'd fix it if I thought I could get away with it. How can you be sure they won't. Look at the power and influence they have demonstrated. Are the checks and balances robust enough to withstand an onslaught on them?

I've no issues in admitting the following, the thought of a yes vote makes a lump in my throat. This is unbearable right now so how the hell I will cope on Thursday is beyond me. The thought of no is just gut wrenching!

I fly out to turkey this weekend, I'll either be on that flight with my chest puffed out or I will be completely depressed and I will feel a sense of embarrassment if anyone brings it up at the resort.

Today has been a weird day...... A definite lull in proceedings, certainly from the press. Also FB & the TAMB quiet as well. Nerves were creeping in earlier & for the first time during the whole campaign I began to have negative thoughts, mostly centered around the 65+ age group & the silent people who have not engaged in the debate at all but will flood to the polling stations to vote NO on Thursday. BUT then, half an hour ago, I took a wander to the shop & my mood is once again soaring. 3 or 4 days ago there were plenty YES signs in house windows around me but today there are absolutely fecking loads, at least twice the amount there were a few days ago :) I live in Inverness, is this being replicated around the country?

Got on the bus this morning from my house down into the main street in Broughty Ferry to meet the Mrs for a drink after her work - about a 5 minute trip. 2 people got on the bus with Yes badges (+ me). Then I was blown away by the amount of windows that had YES stuff. Not one No sticker.

The Ferry says YES

can somebody tell me how its going up North ? Aberdeen and the rural areas roundabout ?

Here in Edinburgh where I always thought we would lose about 55-45 and still win the referendum we are nowhere near 10 points behind. I become increasingly convinced we are going to come very close in Edinburgh. Winning it is not impossible. I hear great things from Dundee and Glasgow but nothing about Aberdeen

Having grown up in the Deen I hope my home town votes Yes.

It has always had this insular attitude (yes I am all right jack covers it but only a bit).

But I know for sure that more than a few have seen that Aberdeen in the oil industry is booming but Aberdeen outside the oil Industry is dying as evidenced by the shocking nick of North Union Street (how ironic).

Loads on Strathearn further down, and 2 big wobbly stick flags in gardens. A lot of stickers in windaes closer to Forthill Road. After that I lost interest as I was salivating at the thought of my impending pint in the Fish. And meeting my lovely wife also. (Punching WAY above my weight.)

I'll have to have a closer look tomorrow :ok:

Talking about the window poster question driving into Perth this evening. We were looking out for the signs, and YES are way ahead - although a few more Nos have been put up in the last day or two.

The YES ones really cheer you up, but it’s the total absence of posters in most windows that makes me wonder how strong or widespread the support is.

Like others on here, I have good moments and bad moments. Seeing that YouTube video from Glasgow on Saturday was a real highlight.

PS Anyone found out what medication Flure’s on? Cause I want some.

I did an extra three hours at work today, and still done nothing. Weird feeling today, and its only going to get worse.

Its impossible to concentrate, keep on checking online to see what we are getting hit with.

My work is probably one of the biggest no in the country but saw somebody from there at the BBC yesterday.

I have dingied the beeb news all day and feel all the better for it. Planning on keeping that up to thursday now.

When I have fear over thursday i get that chant that the USA fans had in the World Cup going through my head

" i believe that we will win, i believe that we will win, i believe that we will win....."
