Anyone Buying Tesco Shares

Recommended Posts

Nose dived in 12 months from 3.74 to 1.95. Might be more to come although they think all the bad news is out. Surely the share price is at its lowest. If not them Tesco are in serious do do. Not sure if Tesco really know their customers these days nor how to deal with the economy chains or the higher end such as Waitrose etc

Never try and catch a falling knife.

Wait until they are on the up again and there is relative stability within their business. Particularly in the boardroom.

Could be a while.

I'd be looking elsewhere......

Tesco shares will bounce back but I don't think they have hit bottom yet, they still need to publish the interim results and I cannot imagine that they will make good reading.

I get monthly reports that breakdown the food retail market and Tesco are losing market share to both ends of the market. Whilst that will impact profit, they are big enough to absorb and react. There will be a casalty but in my opinion in will be Morrisons. I see them either being taken over or being broken up in the next 12 months. Shopping habits have changed over the last 5 years and Morrisons have been behind the curve in every aspect be it online or convenience stores.

In conclusion, I would hold fire as it will fall further but it will definitely rise again, it's a watcher.

No. its an emotional investment. I have no aspirations of ever selling these shares.

Much to my amazement I was reading that cancer cells are anaerobic if that is the correct term, i.e. they do not utilize oxygen for survival and growth. Instead cancer cells use sugar (glucose I think) to grow. Which is why you should eliminate all added sugar from your diet should you be diagnosed with cancer.

The reason I tell you this is that you were feeding sugar to the cancer in your club. All that tub thumping your chest in pride while handing over your cash is pretty much what they were banking on (literally).

Oh and Tesco I do not fancy. Aldi & Lidl have some way to penetrate yet. Tesco will have to drop prices.

The term basket case has been used in the last few days for both Morrisons and Tesco's so that has filled me with confidence. But seeing Mike Ashley has just bought £43m of Tesco shares I am a little bit hopeful. Some other share news. Virgin Money could be floating anytime soon.

He didn't. He bought a 'put' option.
