Scunnered
IMO, that might qualify for the biggest pile of shyte I have ever read on the TAMB. I'm taking that as a compliment
MacWalka
I listened to the radio the other day and they had the Edinburgh South candidates on and my god the SNP guy could barely complete a sentence. My local SNP candidate's experience has been working with Alex Neil. Of he's anything like him, he won't inspire much confidence in me. There will be a few shitey MPs elected from the SNP I'm sure. Given that Scotland generally doesn't register in Westminster, I'd rather have a good local MP regardless of party these days and unfortunately none of the candidates here impress me. It's an opinion piece...Edit: I'm sure you can see the irony in sharing a story about the ugly side of Nationalism... And wishing Financial ruin on the paper... Just below a post from someone wanting a man to lose his job for wearing a Union Flag suit. Edited April 19, 2015 by Scunnered

Utterly pathetic from DC Thomson but hopefully financial suicide for them in Yes city. I had a guy from DC Thomson at my door last October/November, both local papers sales have declined massively. They were trying to get people to sign up for deliveries, including a free period, I told the boy that I wouldn't purchase any of their dailies, and I told him why, he said he had been told that all day. I sell DC Thomson confectionery for their local giveaways, their giveaways have went from monthly to almost weekly. Their papers are struggling massively, and it's all their own fault. The Tele isn't bad, but The Courier is beyond a joke. Edited April 19, 2015 by kumnio

Did you not see the article in The Telegraph about 10 months ago where Hjul and Cochrane expressed their disgust at having neighbours who supported independence ? I think that was probably the worst in a long line of right-wing bile that spews out of the both of them.

That's my constituency - keep getting his leaflets through the door telling me how well he has been doing for my area. Didn't do much good for me last September so he can stick his vote. Believe the seat is too close to call - hope I can help make the difference.

I think it's circulation is still pretty good despite being a Tory paper for decades.

perthTam
Is this a recent thing? I thought the Courier still had one of the best circulations in the country? Anecdotal evidence at my local shop shows plenty Couriers available at lunchtime ...... used to be gone by then. Don't know if that is because more are being delivered or less are selling. Armchair Bob
You know, Leith is that rare Labour area, whose representatives in Holyrood and Westminster aren't complete irrelevant dinosaur embarrassments. Mark Lazarowicz is alright, and Malcolm Chisholm a genuine good guy. Still, would shed no tear to see the back of Mark and Ian Murray. The big story is that Lib Dem vote share. Oooft!
