Wibble
My wee pal from Lyon is seriously thinking of leaving her country after these events. In the current climate, where is a 'safe' haven, Mick? I'm off to see a GB and Ireland XI against a Rest of the World team this afto... nothing will stop me going. The shite want to make us scared to go about our normal, daily business - they won't do that. Edited November 14, 2015 by Wibble
macy37
Really? I'd pass that Intel on to the security services if you are ITK. J I'd hope that they are already aware. Meantime though I'll give them a ring.

Wibble
Sky News is so much more graphic than the french news channels. Tempted to head up there now and stand behind Kay Burley with a sign sating "Kay Burley is a terrorist"...and a c*nt Make-up by Polyfilla (sic). Outside of the UK Paris is the city I have visited most,I was there six weeks ago(16th arr) and it was probably the best I've had in the city.As you say Ed they won't stop me from going back to Paris or any other city they attack(already booked for London in Feb)

phart
As an aside. There was less than 24 hours (i think) between the Multiple explosion Beruit terrorist bombing killing 60* injuring 250 and the Mumbai-style multiple hit Paris killing 120* and injuring 200. *Approximate numbers. aaid
First off my heart goes out to those innocents and there family's who were killed last night a tragedy that will take time for them to come to terms with. Now anybody who says all those crossing the med were just refugees fleeing the crisis in syria is totally naive. Yes I agree that the vast majority will probably be but it would be very easy for Isis to drip feed sleepers into the migration and spread them across Europe and Russia. I wouldn't be surprised if the traffickers are connected to Isis or one of there splinter groups as Isis know its a good way to make money. The sleepers will have been given an address to go to and then just act normal until they get the order. It doesn't even take a mass of communication to activate a cell just 1 call such as a wrong number, a word passed in passing or a dead letter drop. Even an innocent mark left in the right place can do it. This is why it is so hard to fight against them. Even Russia has admitted it had sleeper cells in place during the cold war. How do we combat this I don't know but I do feel the establishment will use this to push public opinion more towards putting boots on the ground and drag us once again into a war. Away and post on the Britain First forum.

TartanJon
Interesting to hear. For some reason I have never ever fancied the city. Maybe down to me being a tight ######?! I go over for the horse racing but I have also been quite a few times doing touristy stuff, football and going to Disney. It actually isn't as expensive as people think,it's really cheap to eat out though a pint costs more than your meal :-) I dont think I've been in the 10th & 11th arr other than going to and from Gare du Nord

AlfieMoon
While I get the point (fear) that Isis could be crossing with immigrants into Europe, I think it's extremely naive to point to that. People are already in Europe being radicalised. We have people - men and women - leaving to go to the Middle East for their cause. If we shut off the flow of migrants what do we do next? Deport all followers of Islam and re-erect all national borders and never travel to/from the Middle East? It'd effectively be ethnic cleansing from the western world! Sadly the right wing are gaining ground in this. How do we then control their nuclear weaponry capabilities in such a heightened scenario if you did dump so many people back in the Middle East without any say in the matter?! The whole thing is crazy! Who knows where we go from here.

Yes I should have pointed out that we can't be sure where the terrorists came from was more in response to the earlier posts about anyone saying anything against the refugees was racist
