I really don't get the May hype.

Id agree he is a good player but lacks the control, composure, height and probably most importantly the pace to play at a top level. Good player. No more. And I've seen him play in the flesh enough times to form that opinion. Great movement. Not much more. He loses the ball so, so many times and play breaks down due to his inability to hold up the ball. I wish him well and hope he improves to our country's benefit but he has a long, long way to go...

Yeah, I'd agree with all that. I'd love him to prove me wrong but I'd be surprised if he got more than a handful of caps.

Also Alex Davey (20, Chelsea youth) is on loan at Shorpe and getting game time. Big unit from what I remember, plays center back I believe. One for the future. Played at under 19s for us.

"Alex Davey is described by the Chelsea website as Born on 24 November 1994 in Welwyn Garden City, and with Chelsea since he was an Under-11, Alex is a 6ft 3in central defender who is comfortable in possession of the ball as well as a strong tackler.

Although he is Scottish, Davey could well be compared to Chelsea captain John Terry as a brave defender."

Just watched the highlights from yesterday. Faddys goal was a beauty, great first touch then curled into the tc from outside the box, could there be something happenin in the water....

Also Dundee Utd don't half look impressive going forward, don't know if that's cause well' were gash though. Armstrong, gms and few others could have had a couple each but all played very well none the less. Great passing and movement in the final 3rd

Grimmer Started at Right back, hopefully a long term replacement for Hutton. I am sure he plays at Center back as well but may be wrong.

Aye he can play both positions but he's better at right back. It would be great if he could now get a regular game for Fulham who seem to be doing ok under new management. It's good to have a new, young right back available.

Also nice to see Alex Davey make his league debut too. Worth a shout for the Under 21s in the New Year ?

Marshall had another great game for Cardiff. Such a shame he never left them after they were relegated because he should be playing at a much higher level.

You never know what might happen in January :wink2:

Hopefully thats evidence that May has now settled in at Sheffield, found his feet and continues to bang in the goals. I definitely think he could play EPL.

According to whoscored.com May has had 4 really good games and 3 absolute shockers for Wednesday this season.

The rest of the time he's just been average.

May isn't even the top rated Scottish player at Wednesday - Liam Palmer (right-back) and Chris Maguire (right midfield) are both rated higher than him.

May is one for the future - I expect McCormack to take May's place in the next Scotland squad.
