Kenneth Farrington
The reporting on King's deal was comical. There was never any chance of it happening. On the bright side for the bears, their club is only useful to Mr Ashley if the Champions League audience can see Ibrox the Sports Direct Arena. Hardly in his interests to run them into the ground. jailender
Apparently Brian Kennedy has offered a short term loan to ease the cash flow problems. King still seems to think he has a chance of getting his deal accepted.

ShedTA
This is sticking plaster stuff though. And a new share issue is never going to work. Who is going to buy them?

Kenneth Farrington
Ashley's bid accepted & Wallace walking away. King has been made to look an utter clown. Again. Will the bears now run to the SFA for help to keep Ashley at bay? Surely they won't be that two faced? Surely?

RenfrewBlue
Surely Ashley will be a good thing for them?Nobody really knows as Ashley never talks to the press. We have no idea what his plans are or what the cash has been secured on.I don't think he'll get a good reception from the fans.

Whatever else he might be he seems like a level headed businessman, especially when you compare him to the succession of charlatans, crooks and bloodsuckers that have been involved up till now. TartanJon
BBC saying Rangers were 48hrs from administration yet on Wednesday Super Salary was talking about a January war chest to win whatever diddy League they play in.He is delusional. True but "he's no a Rangers man". Whatever that means. People forget that David Murray wasn't a Rangers supporter when came in.Boycotts etc won't stop him. He's proved that with Newcastle. I think I'll reserve judgement just now.
Big Col
Ashleys cash injection is a 'loan' remember. No mention yet of the condition of the loan. This £2m keeps Rangers afloat until January, then what? Either cuts to live within their means or some huge financial package to get Rangers back into the SPL and Europe. Ashleys goal must be to get Rangers back into Europe and his brand name europe wide. Also Ashley doesnt say anything so I assume he must be appointing somebody to the board to speak for him? andreimack
Nobody really knows as Ashley never talks to the press. We have no idea what his plans are or what the cash has been secured on. I don't think he'll get a good reception from the fans. He won't give a fvck, he's a ruthless who's his own man, he'll do well out of Rangers, he owns under10% of a club he's now effectively running. The clubs a fvcking shambles and an utter embarrassment now. How the fvck we ended up in this situation again beggars belief, it's gross ineptitude on a staggering scale. scoobydoo
... This £2m keeps Rangers afloat until January, then what? ... Another share issue of course, Christ knows how many there have been now. If I knew any decent rangers fans I'd feel sorry for them but I don't so hey ho. AberdeenAngus
So is Ashley now effectively in control ? I know he doesn't own both clubs but it doesn't seem right that he can be in control of 2. Rules on shareholding need changing to prevent 1 individual or company having big stakes in more than 1 club.

Big Col
is this Ashleys cunning plan? Have full control without going over the 10% share limit?
Kenneth Farrington
Surely Ashley will be a good thing for them? As I said yesterday, the bears will only serve his purpose if they are in the Champions League so he can showcase the Sports Direct Arena. I can't think he'll run them into the ground anyway. What he won't do is throw nonsense money at them, which is of course what many a bear was hoping to see King do.
