It's a good job you don't as for every team with a bigger budget that Celtic get a result against, there's a host of examples of teams with a smaller budget that Celtic have stuggled against.

Nope I don't know of any Celtic fans who site wage bills and budgets for losing football matches, its not our way.

Celtic are only still in Europe because a laughable system allows failures a second chance at recouping some of the enormous amounts of cash that they've wasted trying (and failing) to make a go of the Champions League.

To boast of 'still being there' is pretty pathetic. IMHO.

Its not a boast, its a fact. We've made a go of the Champions league plenty of times which considering our smallish budget....oh never mind

Cracking atmosphere last night.

Disappointing to again concede goals to defensive errors. Should have been addressed properly in the summer.

James Forresr has been a revelation the last month or so. Really coming on to a game. Brown was great too.

Forrest and Brown look back to near their best which is encouraging for Scotland as well.

Ronny still making the same mistakes for me though, picking Efe, Commons out wide instead of middle and persisting with Johansen who hasn't kicked a ball since April!

I'll keep this post for next year when Aberdeen are in the Europa League having been horses out the Champions League qualifiers.

Forrest played quite well but I thought Brown was ordinary.

Still waiting on Brown actually commanding a game this season. He's been nowhere near his best this season in my opinion.

I'm hoping he's saving it for the Poland game.

GMS must be delighted he moved to celtic to be involved in the big games like last night.

The last couple of starts he's had he's been anonymous tbf.

Anyway if Ronny does finally drop Johansen eg it'll be Armstrong and Rogic who will be the beneficiaries.

Armstrong is your best player IMO.

You can see why we moved but he's not consistent enough to get in the team.

i can see why he moved alright - ££'s. but the prediction of him rotting on the bench is proving farily accurate. he was inconsitent at Utd, but at least he got a game now and again.

Has Allan played as yet?

Only seen highlights last night. Talk about shooting yerself in the foot. I would imagine it's particularly annoying given you still need to go there.

Some finish from Commons I must say and I would give Grifgiths a go in the upcoming games. Forrest just doesn't look comfortable on the ball whenever I see him. Even the cross last night looked like a bit of a swing with his left foot.

Acknowledged but Marshall hasn't done much wrong for strachan, could you blame him for any of the goals in tiblisi or against Germany?

Could not agree with you more. My observations about city's defence this season was meant in support of Marshall. I think the point was made earlier in the thread about it possibly being an advantage if we put Gordon in with experience of playing behind a ropey defence.

If that is the case then Marshall is as much the man as anyone else and as he currently has the gloves he's first in line.

I'd have him in the side ahead of Gordon or McGregor as he's find absolutely nothing wrong in Scotland shirt.
