Charlie Endell
I'm in Bristol tomorrow night and looking for somewhere in the city centre (preferably near Temple Meads) to watch the Man U v Arsenal game - chain pubs are a no no (rules out Wetherspoons, Walkabout etc.) and looking for somewhere that does a decent real ale. Any suggestions?
DeeRus
I worked down there back in 2006/2008 and for real ales, next to our office, the guys there would always go to: The Seven Stars and another favourite was The Cornubia Quick check and they are still being highly rated - def hit your mark for the ales but I'm not 100% sure if either have Sky? (Only about 5 mins walk from TM, going down Victoria Street) The other option is to take the A4044 (Redcliffe Way), towards Queen Square - there's a few places in and around there that do the Ales as well - thats around a 10 min walk at most Maybe others in and around the area can provide other suggestions? Charlie Endell
Cheers DeeRus - the Cornubia looks superb but unfortunately no TVs - I don't think the Seven Stars has either.
Charlie Endell
In the absence of anything better going to try the Llandogger Trow (sounds like it should be on the other side of the Severn Bridge) or The Old Fruit Market.
