saintlyscot
Cowdenbeath have shelled out £3500 to a specialist turf company after stock cars left the track and caused huge damage to the playing surface. Cowden had to take immediate action or face having their two upcoming sellout matches against Hibs and Rangers being postponed. Central Park is a bizarre place right enough. ShedTA
worked with a guy in London who was an arsenal supporter and every year him and 3 of his mates would come up for a game to support the blue brazil. bizarre, they just decided to adopt cowdnebeath as their scottish team. saintlyscot
Once saw Roddy Grant blast a penalty right out of the park. Is Partners Bar still going strong??

I know a guy who is from London who did the same over Alloa because he thought their name was pronounced Aloha, like the Hawaiian greeting. He even came up to Perth for a stag night and couldn't believe it when he walked in the pub, took a look at the beer taps and was shocked as he thought Alloa the team even had their own swally! Rossy
One of my favourite grounds, anywhere in football. It's an utter shitehole...probably the most bizarre ground you'll find anywhere, but it's a throwback to times where football grounds were right in the centre of town and people could walk out of the boozer straight to the turnstile. I can't believe that anyone in their right mind would rather have a soulless B&Q identikit ground stuck out of town on a windy hill, when you could have the tradition of grounds like Central Park. It's awful, but it's fantastic. I doubt if there's a Cowden fan anywhere who would swap it for the world.

Complete and utter tip but brilliant with 9/10k packed in. On that note, when's the Scottish cup draw?
Squirrelhumper
As for grounds in town centre. Not many in SPL. Killie is just off main shopping streets with plenty pubs nearby, Motherwell is okay, same with Dundee teams but after that you're struggling. Pittodrie, Tynecastle(if you get off at Haymarket), Gayfield, East End Park.

Rossy
You did see the words SPL? Also, Pittodrie may be many things, but it's not a town/city centre ground. Not a lot of boozers around either, especially for away fans. Gayfield and East End aren't town centre grounds either. I'm not sure Ormond quite understood what we were on about... macy37
I agree that it is an utter sh1t tip but it is a fantastic old school ground and I would always prefer watching a game here than somewhere like St Mirren's B&Q stadium.

Within staggering distance of the train station makes it for me. Remember, Dunfermline has two stations?
