Scunnered
Call for Labour to change their evil ways. Oh Katy http://labourlist.org/2015/01/16-labour-mps-release-statement-calling-for-change-in-party-policy-direction/
kumnio
Its pointless, I shall take your love for her to be a sign that she isnt an absolute bitch, but she is in a party of bastards and bitches, the minority wont change the majority. Die Labour Die.
Scunnered
the minority wont change the majority. Isn't that the rallying cry of the SNP false left?... Change the Neoliberalism from within?
Flure
She is clearly in the wrong party. Or perhaps her personal ambition is such that she knows she has to be wearing a Labour rosette to have a chance of getting to Westminster? She's been there for 9 years now. What's she done? Scunnered
She's been there for 9 years now. What's she done? I accidentally deleted the personal ambition bit... I'm too lazy to go back and add it back in, so I'll write a lengthy bit at the start of my post instead. Katy is a Marxist and as such values the historical contribution of the Labour movement. Just as Mr. Salmond dedicated his career to achieving independence unsuccessfully... Katy has dedicated her career to unsuccessfully returning the Labour Party to it's roots. As for the last 9 years, Katy's career has been spent protecting the local area from both her own parties policies from Westminster... Now Tory policies, and from Holyrood. wanderer
Any time I have had dealings with Katy she has been good. I contacted her with regards to my uni dissertation which she was happy to help out with and 2 years ago when my father in law was rejected a UK visa she was happy to try all she could to help us in the appeal process, and even sent a email 4 months later asking if we had been successful. That sounds like the workings of a decent local MP.
Scunnered
How has she done this? A luverly website dedicated to both her parliamentary campaigns and local issues: http://www.katyclark.org.uk/ On a more personal note, she is also fighting my corner in my now 3 year battle with Ayrshire & Arran health board. Scunnered
Katy Clark is so awesome, even the great Cove Sheep wants her returned above his own parties candidate
iainmac1
Why doesn't she join a party that shares her values, stand as an independent or start her own party. Does staying in labour guarantee her a cushy well paid job that she don't dare risk?
iainmac1
And she also fell in line during the referendum like a good labour zombie.
Scunnered
And she also fell in line during the referendum like a good labour zombie. Yes... Because Katy always falls into line She personally doesn't support independence... But as far as I know Katy is the only MP who polled her constituents on what stance they'd like her to adopt during the referendum campaign

Padre Andrew
Isn't that the rallying cry of the SNP false left?... Change the Neoliberalism from within? Scunnered, you strike me as fairly intelligent, but I fear you’ve a real blind spot on one or two issues. Accusing the SNP of being neoliberal while advocating support for the Labour party could be seen as confused. This from the current Private Eye (1384): “Labour’s support for the controversial trade deal being negotiated between the EU and the US – the so-called TTIP – shows Labour at its most politically incoherent, which is saying something…. “Ed Miliband is … backing a free trade agreement that will allow multinationals to use unaccountable international tribunals to sue national governments if the latter oppose regulations the corporations don’t like…” Neoliberal enough for you? I don't advocate the Labour Party my friend . Unless things have changed that I've missed, the SNP are also appreciators of the TTIP agreement. The Labour Party need purged, but replacing them with like for like Neoliberalism is not the answer for me

Scunnered
Why the Wallace and Katy avatars then? Wallace? I'd absolutely advocate a vote for Katy, as will the majority of Socialists living in the area, be they Labour, SSP, or otherwise... Not the nationalists though. The SNP's excellent parliamentary candidate for the constituency spoke out against TTIP at some length at the branch hustings.
