I filled out an on line search for local companies(Dymfries)to get a quote on a replacement boiler. Above company contacted me getting details and arranging a visit.They were meant to get in touch with 4 local companies but haven't heard from anyone else. They are registered at Company House but only since feb '15. Have contacted a couple of local companies myself and British Gas who are coming to give me a quote. euan2020 Posted July 26, 2015 Share Posted July 26, 2015 i think british gas contract out to 1 of their local suppliers ie for my mother in Inverurie they were either going to use guys from Elgin or Dundee, guys from dundee were meant to be a bit slap dash, so she made sure the guys from Elgin did the job, and they were very good and travelled the 80 miles every day - Guys hourly rate in the north is much cheaper so might be worthwhile even including their travel time and accommodation they could be cheaper Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
