sbcmfc
I'm not sure Ryanair even let you have 18kg and 22kg? Think you both have to be 20kg or less. I know some airlines do let you pool your allowance, though not sure if into 1 massive bag?
OLAS
Has to be two different bags. They'll likely make you go buy a new bag and split it, or charge you per kg over the 20. That said, I've noticed them being a lot better when it came to luggage in the past few months. I wouldn't risk it though.
Larky Masher
Definitely 20kg maximum we had to shift stuff about between cases at check-in when we coming back from Barcelona last month.

I thought Ryanair was 15kg for their flights? Have they upped the limit recently?

You're right just went backed and checked it is only 15kg, apologies for any confusion caused I was getting mixed-up with Jet 2.

I'm not often wrong. Sometimes I'm just slightly less confident about how right I am.

Donaldo87
I thought Ryanair was 15kg for their flights? Have they upped the limit recently? You can go for a 20kg bag for extra cash. Think you can buy two bags now per person if you really want / need. Edited October 6, 2015 by Donaldo87
Baz
You're right just went backed and checked it is only 15kg, apologies for any confusion caused I was getting mixed-up with Jet 2. You can pay extra to upgrade to 20kg

Ah right, that sounds about right. I believe that they are thinking about another scheme that they might even give you your bag back again at the other end provided you pay them another £20. DaveyDenoon
Ryanair are a shower of s and their staff are nothing but Nazis. Flight from Glasgow down to Stansted on Friday morning was delayed, meaning it was looking tight but still doable to get down to Gatwick for my flight to Faro. Next thing this lassie with a torn face is coming round telling some people they were going to have to put their hand luggage in the hold. This was going to give me a big problem as the delay coupled with having to wait for my luggage was going to make it very tight indeed unless London's transport system ran like clockwork. Explained this to the lassie but she was having none of it, totally blanked me halfway through my explanation then walked away towards her next victim, saying I'd be denied boarding. Ignorant . So I had little option but to shut up and take it on the chin or I wasn't even getting out of Glasgow. So she slapped the yellow sticker around the handle of my bag. It was all the more galling as plenty people with cases bigger than mine and who had arrived after me at the gate were getting theirs on. She just seemed to pick her victims at random. Anyway, as luck would have it as we were boarding there were a bunch of people putting their bags on the cage for the hold and I saw my chance to just walk straight past with the yellow sticker conveniently hidden under my hand till I got in the plane. Guess what, tons of room for plenty more cabin bags. Good job I did as thanks to another Nazi at St Pancras not letting me through the barrier at the thameslink station (I assumed my zone U123 ticket meant underground and zones 1,2,3 and not underground only for zones 1,2,3) and making me get back on the tube I'd just come off to get to the exact same station to catch my Gatwick train I made it to Gatwick with about 20 minutes to spare. He could easily have listened to my explanation of my situation and allowed me to travel to the same station I was travelling to anyway, albeit by a different route, but elected not to. Worse still was when I spoke to one of hi plagues who allowed me through the barrier after I explained the spotted him letting me through and came running down the escalator after me shouting he was calling the police like I was some kind of criminal then escorted me back out the barrier. Utter . Do travel staff in the UK all go to the same "Let's learn how best to piss people off and make their travel as difficult as possible" courses? I'm assuming Ryanair staff come out top of each class as well. Ryanair staff really are nothing short of Nazi s.
